Ylure is a dense and vast world, and most of it's lore happens around it's forest. It's the largest, most dense woods known, and covers miles with trees. There's a small group of witches who protect the forest and the Mother Trees, who are the oldest of all, the source of all magic power. Their roots take over all the underground area of the forest, and thousands of magical (and not magical) creatures live under the earth, between them. Most villagers who live near the woods are terrified of it, and too scared to explore the place because of the uncountable legends that surround it. Many tales spread about spirits and magic creatures. It is said that if one wanders too deep into the forest, it might never be seen again. Sometimes it's possible to hear voices, laughs, cries for help, growls, monsters, and all kinds of hallucination-inducing sounds coming from the sea of trees. No one knows that lies in the heart of the forest, but one information is well spread among people: do not travel alone through the woods.
