Kote is a continent on the planet of Aether. In Kote, there are 8 main countries: Vodria, Impolvial,Taelux, Baening, Hecatia, Astocan, Cales, and the Territories. In Kote, magic is prevelant and very much alive. In various locations of the continent, there are 7 trees that are sacred and tied to the land of Kote. They represent the 7 deadly sins and their equal 7 heavenly virtues. These trees are directly responsible for the production and manifestation of 'Daemon'. Daemon are born human, but randomly mutated to have magical abilties. They are picked out from their various mutations: horns, different eye, hair, nail, skin color, markings, anything. Some Daemon are easy to spot, some are not. Daemon are regarded differently all over Kote: Some hold them up as children of gods, other think they are less than human.

Aether is not just confined to Kote. There are other islands and countries and continents outside of Kote, but for now Kote is the main focus.
