AT A GLANCE:

Astral Fauns are a Faun like species with flexible glass containers as legs and hanging from their ears. These containers hold mystical liquids that are the source of the Fauns power.

OVERVIEW:

LORE:

Aging:

Every 100 years in astralverse time is the equivalent of 1 human year.
They may live up to 200 human years.

Their aging slows down at the 1750 mark, with their adulthood marked officially at 1800.
Once they reach the 15,000 mark, they'll start showing signs of old age/seniorhood.

Their glass won't be very flexible, maybe the liquids magic dwindles a little bit

Liquid:

The Liquid in a Faun's containers is extremely important to them. It is the source of all their magic as well as what keeps them healthy.
Fauns that obtain small cracks in their legs have no need to worry for there are ways to fix those cracks by doctors or Astrals with healing abilities.

However, if the containers were to fully crack and break enough to where the liquid leaks out an Astral can become very sick and even lose their magic completely.
Some say these poor souls turn into something sinister....
Losing liquid from their containers does not kill a faun.
Broken containers or no liquid in the containers is not allowed for Astral Fauns.

HORNS:

Common horns are small in size, reminiscent of the Red Deer, Fallow Deer, and Sambar Deer. All Common horns have stars on them.

EARS:

Common Astral ears are reminiscent of a lop eared bunny, pointing downwards. Their shape is somewhat a fusion of the lop eared bunny and a red deer, though it is up to artistic interpretation.Common ears always have wings.

Ear containers, by default, are featured on all ears. To not have one would be a mutation. Ear containers are normally star shaped; any other shape would be a mutation.

EYES:

Single toned eyes are common. All eyes have star shaped pupils.

Heterochromatic eyes are also common!

TAILS:

Common tails are small, deer tails. These tails always have stars on them, like how horns do. To not have stars on the tails, or to have different shapes/objects on them would be a mutation.

LEGS:

Common legs contain liquid of a single solid colour. It can be any colour in any hue or shade.

The liquid in common legs always contains stars. If they were to contain a different object/shape (i.e: bats, candy, bones, etc.) it would be a mutation.

Astral legs cannot have cracks or breaks. If they were to be broken, they would become an Umbral Faun. (That would require an Umbral Faun MYO ticket.)

Leg containers can encompass any amount of leg from above the ankle to below the pelvis.

BODY:

Human skintones are common.

An astral can have any skin condition. (i.e: vitiligo, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, etc.) This is not trait-dependant.

LIQUID:

An Astral's liquid can be any colour in any shade; red, blue, pink, lavender, coral, etc.

WINGS:

Common wings are small. This means that they extend out approximately 10" from the body. (This is the length of an iPad, or a US Size 9/10 shoe.)

Wings are limited to angelic/feathered, demon-like/bat, or insectoid!

Ear wings also follow these trait rules.

Wings on the ankles are common and also optional! In addition, hip wings are also optional.

Uncommon horns are medium in size, reminiscent of the Red Deer, Fallow Deer, and Sambar Deer. All Uncommon horns have stars on them.

Uncommon ears are reminiscent of the Red Deer. This means that they point upwards. All Uncommon ears have wings.

Ear containers, by default, are featured on all ears. To not have one would be a mutation. Ear containers are normally star shaped; any other shape would be a mutation.

Gradient eyes are uncommon.

Two-toned eyes are also uncommon-- Two-toned eyes have colours that are split in half. i.e; one half of the iris is green, the other half of the iris is red. (The iris refers to the eye colour on each individual eye.)

TAILS:

Uncommon tails are star-shaped puffs. These tails have short fur, and are adorned with stars like how Common tails are.

To not have stars on the tails, or to have different shapes/objects on them would be a mutation.

LEGS:

To have only one container leg would be an uncommon trait. You are welcomed to put things on the regular leg, however they must not be permanently attatched to the leg; this means you cannot have the leg be made out of things such as socks. (You are allowed to put socks on your faun, however they must be removable.)

The liquid in an uncommon leg always contains stars. If it were to contain a different object/shape (i.e: bats, candy, bones, etc.), it would be a mutation.

Rare horns are very large in size, reminiscient of the Red Deer, Fallow Deer, and Sambar Deer. All Rare horns have stars on them.

Rare ears are a combination of both the common and uncommon ears, and have no wings. Like the others though, they still have ear containers. You can put ear containers on all four ears, or either the upper set or lower set.

Ear containers, by default, are featured on all ears. To not have one would be a mutation. Ear containers are normally star shaped; any other shape would be a mutation.

Container iris's are considered a rare trait. This means that the iris contains astral liquid, much like the other containers an Astral has.

Circular pupils are considered a rare trait. Can be combined with the previous mentioned eye colours.

TAILS:

Rare tails are long. These tails have a spherical container, and end in a star puff. The traits for the star puff portion are the same as the uncommon star puffs; likewise, the traits for the container is the same as ear containers; the only difference is the shape. A circular container is normal for these tails, but to have the container shaped differently (i.e: heart, diamond, square, etc.) would be a mutation.

Grayscale liquid (Black, Warm grey, Cool grey, White, etc.) is a rare trait.

Rare wings are large in size, this means they extend past the length of the arm and beyond.

Wings are limited to angelic/feathered, demon-like/bat, or insectoid!

Ear wings also follow these trait rules.

HORNS:

Any horns that are NOT reminiscent of the Red Deer, Fallow Deer, or Sambar Deer are considered mutations. This means sheep horns, devil horns, multiple horns, single horn, etc. are all mutations. In addition, it is a mutation to not have stars on Common, Uncommon and Rare horns. You are not required to have stars on mutation horns. If there were to be an object in place of the stars on a horn (i.e little berries instead of stars) then that'd be a mutation as well.

EARS:

Ears of any other animal type (Upright rabbit ears, rodent, bat, etc.) are a mutation. To not have wings on common and uncommon ears would be a mutation. To not have ear containers is a mutation as well.

EYES:

To have no iris or pupil (completely blank eyes) would be a mutation. If you were to have a coloured sclera (the white part of the eyes), that would also be a mutation.

If a faun has no pupil in their eyes, then that would be a mutation. In addition, multiple sets of eyes are also a mutation.

TAILS:

Many fauns have double-long tails. These tails are the same as rare, however there are two instead of one. This is considered a mutation trait.

To have tails other than the ones previously listed (i.e; shark, red panda, ferret, dog, cat, etc.) would be a mutation.

LEGS:

To have objects other than stars in the legs would be a mutation.

To have multiple coloured liquid would also be a mutation.

In addition, solid colour liquid w/o stars is also a mutation. As is gradient liquid.

Containers made out of a different transparent/transluscent material than glass are considered mutations. (I.e; crystal, frosted glass, etc.)

Scenery instead of liquid is also a mutation!

BODY:

Animal skintones and unnatural skintones (i.e: grey, green, etc.) are considered mutations.

An Astral may have a torso container. This is considered a mutation. These types of containers can go anywhere up to the collar bones, and anywhere down to the stomach.
