Welcome
Underneath our very human world lies a world so similar -- one with people, a government, histories of conquest and peace, societal norms, and discoveries -- But this world is filled with those that are unseen and feared. Creatures that are only considered myth to a human being. Vampires, Lycanthrope, Poltergeists, Merfolk, Gorgons, and many other species. Some creatures operate in the shadows, some in plain sight. Some pose a threat to humans, some fall in love with them. Some were born into this life, while others were forced into it. The only thing that is true in this underground society is that it must be kept secret from the overall human society, as with the knowledge of humans, the life of monsterkind could be put at risk and torn asunder.

In another moment down went Alice after it, never once considering how in the world she was to get out again.
The rabbit-hole went straight on like a tunnel for some way, and then dipped suddenly down, so suddenly that Alice had not a moment to think about stopping herself before she found herself falling down what seemed to be a very deep well.
Either the well was very deep, or she fell very slowly, for she had plenty of time as she went down to look about her, and to wonder what was going to happen next. First, she tried to look down and make out what she was coming to, but it was too dark to see anything; then she looked at the sides of the well, and noticed that they were filled with cupboards and book-shelves: here and there she saw maps and pictures hung upon pegs. She took down a jar from one of the shelves as she passed; it was labelled "ORANGE MARMALADE," but to her great disappointment it was empty: she did not like to drop the jar for fear of killing somebody underneath, so managed to put it into one of the cupboards as she fell past it.
"Well!" thought Alice to herself. "After such a fall as this, I shall think nothing of tumbling down stairs! How brave they'll all think me at home! Why, I wouldn't say anything about it, even if I fell off the top of the house!" (Which was very likely true.)Down, down, down. Would the fall never come to an end? "I wonder how many miles I've fallen by this time?" she said aloud.

The Council
Every species of monster deserves representation, even in a world that is hidden. To keep order within this society, every species of monster has an official to represent them. Whether this individual is elected, from royalty, or seized rule does not matter, so long as they represent their people and their interests...
Law & Order
Of course, a group of important monsters cannot be bothered with smaller trifles such as social work, tracking and catagorizing newly turned monsters. That means there are various organizations below the council meant to classify and record new monster citizens, relocate feral monsters, re-adjusting monsters to scoiety, ecetera.
Locations
Salem
Long ago, many a monster species were spread wide and far, but seeing the chance to unify in the newly found lands of the states, the council called for voyage to a place where they could be one. The village of Salem, Massachusetts was considered to be a safe haven for those who could hide their monsterness easier than others, and those who couldn't found refuge outside of the town. Very few thought revealing their identites to the common, human villagers would be a good idea, but one witch took it upon herself to try and wow children with some illusory magic, hoping to cause a domino effect. However, what she did caused panic and mass-hysteria. Those who could, fled, but took the name of Salem along with them. Any city with the name Salem is now a hub for high-monster activity, often operating under the guise of a normal town.
Skinwalker Ranch, Utah
Skinwalker Ranch is used as a black site to hold abominations or those who are dangerous to human and monster society. This includes political criminals or terrorists, mainly those who think that monsters should take their place as the dominant life form.
Death Valley, California
The place with the highest population of skeletons. The extreme heat makes it a suitable place for both skeletons and fire elementals to stay. Skeletons often migrate in the guise of night, and have spread from Death Valley, to the Deserts of Utah, and the cities of Mexico.
New Orleans, Lousiana
A heavy gathering of witches lies within this city. Some practicing magic, other voodoo. Due to this fact, some citizens may find themselves in danger if they make the wrong person mad.
