Welcome to the pride of the Langurhali.

The Langurhali are an alien species which came from the planet Willora, now living secretly in the wilderness on Earth, separate and invisible from mankind. Their source of energy, food and other sustenance is a massive, old, somewhat sentient weeping willow tree, the last living thing from Willora, which carried them through space after their planet died. The willow created a hidden world in a small area on Earth which essentially became a second, smaller Willora. It is unknown how the Willow keeps them hidden so well; whether by an invisible barrier or keeping them in a separate kind of "dimension" or place in time. Originally resembling nothing on Earth, the Langurhali took on traits of Earth's creatures when reborn as the roots of their tree absorbed the history of our planet. Fragments of human and feline memories being the nearest lifeforms to absorb at the moment of the Willow's landing, the Willow took in their biological information and the Langurhali were born 1/3 human, 1/3 feline, and 1/3 almost anything else. The remaining third can be practically anything from Earth's history, whether mythical or real, from any time... from the common iguana to the mythological haietlik to the extinct amargasaurus. The elders (the first 10 or so Willorians to be created by the Willow) typically only have feline and human-specific traits, and immensely mutated deformities. The longer the Willow's roots grow, the more history it is able to learn, and the more animals it is able to mix in with newer Langurhali.
