You haven't always lived in this house. Once, you were a normal kid, a normal *human*. You had family, friends, an entire life. Now you have nothing. Nothing but the same suffering over and over. Tests, therapy, isolation. The Maddox House is no house at all. No, it's a prison. A lab. And you're the lab rat.

When you were younger, something happened. It wasn't a big deal, a weird rash, maybe you lost your temper a bit too much, a taste for raw meat. But when the doctors and therapists couldn't help you, the Kepler Foundation stepped in. They offered everything to your family, paid medical bills, the best resources and staff to treat your condition. All you had to do was come live in their facility, the Maddox House. And to their credit, your first years there, in the East Wing, were boring and peaceful. But then you turned 18.

You were so ready to get out after all this time. You would be your own adult, and you would decide to check out of Maddox. Except, it turned out, Kepler had made the decision for you. Instead of the exit you expected, you were faced with the West Wing, and your real testing began. Painful, unending, here they claimed you weren't human. That you were something from mythology, from legends. But that couldn't be true. You were simply a victim held against your will. And you were going to get out.
