Hello and welcome to Echoing Pawsteps roleplay.
This season focuses on a group of feral dogs living in the woods.
This roleplay is art and literacy based- monthly art and roleplay prompts will be posted, though completion is not required.
Currently, the storyline is under development, and taking inspiration from members’ ideas.  
Our roleplay is based on discord, and as the invite will expire if posted, please ask for one if you are interested in joining. (Trying to figure this out still, sorry! Im new to th, but we had a system going for the Instagram, so if you have an insta just dm us for the link)

if joining, please be sure the character used is naturally colored (no bright or unnatural colors), and strictly domestic canine rather than hybrids, wolves, or foxes. Low content wolf dogs will be allowed in moderation.

Please have a ref sheet available for your character, whether it be on toyhouse, instagram, or deviantart. You will need to provide a link to them in the discord in case anyone will be drawing your character for a prompt (with permission from you of course!).
Every dog must have one of the roles below, and upon joining, there will be opportunities to advance in rank. 

The ranks available are;

Mother- any dog pregnant or nursing pups will automatically have this role

Pup: any dog below 4 months will automatically have this role 

Adolescent: similarly to apprentices in the Warriors series, these dogs are any dog below 1 year old. They are slowly given more privileges as they age, as well as being assigned to a mentor who will teach them important skills such as hunting, swimming, following a scent trail and so on. Once they have reached one year old they will be assigned a final rank.

Healer: these dogs are knowledgable about herbs, edible plants, and methods to heal the sick and injured.

Gamma: these dogs are the packs’ best hunters. They make sure the pack is well fed, even going on long winter expeditions when food is scarce. 

Delta: Deltas are the packs protectors. They take turns guarding the entrance to camp, and going on perimeter checks around the territory. If a predator or enemy threatens the pack, Deltas are the first to step up to fight them off. 

Omega: omega is a role assigned to the lowest ranking dogs. Usually assigned as a punishment. Omegas are required to take on adolescent jobs such as cleaning out dens, old bones from prey, and assisting in any way they can- whether they are helping the healer sort herbs, or the gammas hunt prey. Once they have proven themselves, they are appointed a higher rank.

There is also an Alpha and Beta, the two highest ranking dogs of the  pack- the leaders.

All ranks are open apart from Healer, Beta, and Alpha, but once you join you will have opportunity to reach these higher ranks.
