FAQ

Q: How many characters can you make?

A: You can (currently) make an unlimited amount of characters. As the world develops and the amount of members increase, we will start making certain limits.

Q: How does the ranking system work? How will my character be promoted?

A: The ranking system works SPECIFICALLY for Specialist Agents (Commandant Forces). All new Agents start off with 1st Rank by default, and participating in certain interactions and events will allow your character rank up. Administration Members do not have a ranking system.

The requirements for the first two promotions are easy but keep in mind that the Evaluation (which exists after reaching third rank) may involve writing (literate - semi-literate) for the evaluation portion in order to reach Tier 2 ranks.

Q: Do I have to make a new character? Can I bring a pre-existing character into this world?

A: You are allowed to bring a pre-existing character into the Prodigal! Unless certain events coincides with their events in the Prodigal, you may have to create an AU version of said character. However, you are free to insert an already existing character into the Organization for character development; as long as it fits the theme!

Q: Do I need to be active in order to stay in the world? Will my members be archived if I don't participate?

A: It is not mandatory to to be active in the world, but it's highly encouraged to participate and interact with other members. There are no consequences if you are inactive, but it's appreciative to participate every once in a while. We understand that you have tend to life in the offline world, but if you plan to leave the group please notify the admins or moderators so we can figure something out. 

We want this group to be welcoming but also pretty laid-back. Especially for events or promoting your characters, we will provide low-effort activity (like forum games, if necessary) if you want to contribute.

Q: What if I don't want to play a certain character anymore?

A: Kill them. If you don't want to play a specific character, character deaths and retirement are allowed. However, once they're in the cemetery, they will not be used ever again, under any circumstances. Retirement characters (archived) can be used, but in a very limited manner, depending on the circumstances of the character.

Q: What are the limits to designing the character? Can my character have supernatural powers?

A: Design wise, we prefer if the character sticks to the realistic modern-day theme. No fantasy costumes, medieval armor, etc. unless it's relevant to their background. Feral, anthro characters will not be allowed into the Prodigal because it doesn't fit the Prodigal theme. 

However, if any supernatural themes of the character cannot be removed because it's vital to their design, we will have to ask you to limit the character's abilities if we believe that it's unfair to other members. If you still cannot do that, then you can refer to an admin or moderator and find a solution.
> Superhuman abilities (some science fiction) can be allowed, but again, they will have to be limited or unused when you are interacting with other characters. - This is an iffy for now, so you're free to ask questions or ask an admin/mod if you're confused.

Q: Will there be events?

A: There will be different events taken place, depending on the number of members that join and how many active participants are there. Specialist Agents and Administration Members will have their dedicated events (ex. Agents can participate for a promotion, or have a chance to change ranks). There will also be design giveaways as well.
