CULTURE AND VALUES
- Echoclan cats value honesty and dedication in their warriors.
- They are generally creative and artistic cats and invent new stories and songs with ease.
- They tend to have a high belief in Starclan and pray often.
- The cats in Echoclan love music, singing, and performance of all kinds.
- Rainbows are a common occurrence and are seen as a good omen from Starclan.
TRADITIONS
- Echoclan cats use whatever they can find to make instruments. They create drums out of rocks and logs, guitars out of sticks and stems, and anything else that makes an interesting sound.
- They sing special songs at each ceremony.
- In times of lots of prey, they spend their extra time practicing for a large performance to put on at the gathering and show the other clans.
- Once a cat becomes a novice and receives their mentor, the two go out to explore the territory and become familiar with it. They also search for the novice's first feather, which will determine the feathers they wear on their pelt. Novices who find more colorful feathers are said to have brighter futures.
- When a leader, deputy, or medicine cat dies, the warriors find as many feathers as they can and build the largest wings, so that they have the best chance of getting to Starclan.
TERRITORY
- Their territory is a lush, oak tree covered forest land, with a heavy peppering of rocks. In the middle of the territory, there's a large rocky cliff with a waterfall that conceals the camp entrance. The waterfall flows from a river in Flurryclan and out into the peninsula in Cloverclan.
- There is a small part of land that borders the sea, and it rains there often.
- They have an abundance of food in Newleaf and Greenleaf but usually struggle to find enough in Leaffall and Leafbare.
- Their camp is split into two sections:
- The first is a massive cavern with holes in the roof that shine down on a large, flat rock where the cats perform. The sun shines through the holes and creates a spotlight effect. On this side, there are smaller caves that hold dens, but they aren't as private as other clans. The entrance to this part is under the waterfall.
- The second part is at the base of the waterfall, and the two are connected by a large fallen log and rocks that are used as a bridge. In this part, they sleep more out in the open, only covered by trees. They place their nests in and around bushes for extra warmth. Cats can decide which part of camp they want their nest in.
- The medicine cat's den is in a separate cave on the higher level and is next to the waterfall.
- There are two fresh-kill piles, one on each level of camp.
PHYSIQUE
- Echoclan cats can jump extremely high, and use this to their advantage in combat.
- They have large, strong paws with long claws, useful for climbing, gripping, and slashing.
- Their fur varies between medium-short to long, depending on the season. They shed the long coat in Newleaf, and start growing it again in Leaffall.
- Their pelts are usually brown and black and tend to have bengal or tabby patterns.
