ORIGIN:

As of current, the origins of AL-423 are not fully known. Most infecteds seem to be from Moonhyde, although there are a fair amount of people with the disease in other cities of Lunarium. It is entirely possible that the disease was spread through big events, as many people expressed attending specific events, mainly presentations about research funding.

RESEARCH:

There is extensive research on AL-423 at the Obscura Facility on the virus causing it, the different strains, as well as on possible cures. A combination of the latest techniques are used to find extra information about the virus, such as: PCR, DNA sequencing, biochemical testing, immunoblotting & more. Currently, there is few information, but a path for a cure has been found.

EFFECTS ON CIVILIZATION:

Uncontrolled beasts in Lunarium can potentially endanger innocent people, as well as threaten the world's environment and provide a bad environment for those wishing to stay in the world either temporarily or permanently. With the existing conflicts, having monsters around the corner will make things a lot less secure.

LEVELS OF SEVERITY:

Some cases of AL-423 are not severe in the way that those infected only see few changes in their personality and on their physical bodies. Most cases, however, can be classified as severe, meaning that the infecteds are very violent and are prone of turning into monsters with an insatiable bloodlust. Thus, it is a disease that has to be taken as seriously as possible.
