Character Designing

Character Designing

With so many species and pets to obtain, there will be times of confusion or small common errors when creating them. This guide is to help you on your way.

This guide is a heavy work-in-progress. If you have any questions or concerns that are not listed please note Phonebook or ask in the Discord server.

General

Free to change at any time

  • Body shape/form
  • All accessories/clothing (Species specifics apply)
  • Personality
  • Skin color (Within human/species specific tones only unless an Unnatural Skin trait is present)
  • Ethnicity/Race/Nationality/Religious practices (In this case The Springs have several regions of their own that are similar to ours)
  • Hair style/color (Species specifics apply)
  • Backstory/Sexuality/Gender/Ect (All topics relating to what makes someone who they are is all up to you, please do your research properly)
  • Age (Any characters that are under the age of 18 should not have any NSFW work, drug possession/usage, any sexual acts/innuendo, ect. Characters that were created as children can be aged up and have their Phonebook image updated to reflect this age up. You cannot revert this action or age down unless the character has no pieces of NSFW. Basically, NSFW pieces "lock" a character from visiting the Spring of Youth. ANY CHARACTER THAT IS A MINOR AND FOUND TO HAVE NSFW WORK AT ANY TIME WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE BAN. ATTEMPTS TO HIDE NSFW IS NOT ALLOWED AND WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE INVESTIGATION. NSFW WORK WILL BE ASKED TO BE DELETED IF A CHARACTER WANTS TO BE AGE DOWN. ANY NSFW WILL HAVE TO BE APPROPRIATELY MARKED AND INELIGIBLE FOR CURRENCY.)
Designing
  • One character per Passport.
  • Passports and Bookmarks do not expire unless it is explicitly said beforehand.
  • Characters may be designed based of pre-existing characters (CS or not) so long as it is within their TOS that you may and said character belongs to you.
  • Characters cannot be copy and pasted or heavily based on fandom characters. You may however be inspired by fandom characters.
  • Some animals will come with traits you don't need to obtain anything for.
Rarity Coding
  • Blue is Common.
  • Yellow is Uncommon.
  • Green is Rare.
  • Red is Special.
  • Orange is Event.
  • Purple is Legendary.

  • The snow must be white unless a special Passport/Bookmark is used.
  • The ice must be either white, blue, or purple unless a special Passport/Bookmark is used.
  • Insides (organs, flesh, blood) are the same color as what a Snow Demon's ice is. This is not the same as unnatural skin tone.
  • A listed animal is required for record keeping. This can be kept as vague as simply "Snake" or as specific as "Heterodon nasicus/Western hognose snake". Whatever animal a Snow Demon is may influence what types of traits may be avalible to them at no extra cost.
Trait Specifics
  • For Dual Colored Ice/Snow, only one color should be used besides the default white snow and/or the default white/blue/pastel purple ice. A special Passport/Bookmark may be used to override the default color requirements of ice/snow. The second color must be notable. Any color other than dark/black is allowed. Color patterns are allowed, as long as only two colors are present.
  • For Colored Eyes, there is no limit on colors. Default eye color is either white or black sclera. Shaped pupils/irises are allowed by default.
  • For Frosted Tips, the whole head of hair may be covered. This trait gives off a light blue tint and glimmer by default (unless overridden by a special Passport/Bookmark.)
  • For Ice Horns/Spikes, either can be made of snow only if a special Passport/Bookmark is used. Mismatching is allowed. Multiple pairs are allowed within reason. There is no size nor shape limit. Horns should not resemble antlers unless a special Passport/Bookmark is used.
  • For Ice Scales, no more than 50% of the body should be covered. Further coverage will require a special Passport/Bookmark.
  • For Frostbite, this is a required trait that needs to affect at least the tail. No more than 50% of the body should be covered. Further coverage will require a special Passport/Bookmark. Frostbite on the tail and ears (if applicable) are required by default.
  • For Partial Ice Arms, the hands/paws of the arm cannot be covered in ice. This is another trait.
  • ForIce Plating, no more than 50% of the body should be covered.
  • For Snow Hair, default snow color is applied. A special Passport/Bookmark may be used to override the default color requirements of snow.
  • For Partial Transparency, no more than 50% of the body should be covered. Further coverage will require a special Passport/Bookmark.
  • For Fish Eyes, there is no limit on colors. Default eye color is either white or black sclera. There cannot be an iris. Shaped pupils are allowed by default.
  • For Total Ice Arms, Ice Hands are included, but will not be listed as such in the Tomebook.
  • For Water Paws, only up to the wrist area is allowed to be liquid unless an Event Passport/Bookmark is used. Water may be drippy and partial.
  • For Unnatural Skin, multiple colors may be used. Patterns are allowed so long as they do not resemble other traits or are hyper-realistic.
  • For Total Ice/Snow Legs, the full leg must be made of either ice, snow, or a combination of both. Anything below the waist area may be covered in ice or snow, but no further unless a special Passport/Bookmark is used.
  • For Floating Ice/Snow, particles may not be bigger than the head unless a special Passport/Bookmark is used. They may resemble wings and other traits loosely, but should not be functional or hyper-realistic.
  • For Ice/Snow Insides, all parts can be made of ice or snow. Default colors apply unless a special Passport/Bookmark is used. Partial coverage is allowed.
  • For Bioluminescence, no more than 50% of the body should be covered unless a special Passport/Bookmark is used. These markings can be anywhere and can be invisible under normal lighting so long as there is a reference to the markings. Insides do not count towards coverage. All colors other than dark/black are allowed.
  • For Melanistic Ice/Snow, partial coverage is allowed.
  • For Material Eyes, all materials such as gems, elements, substances, and more are allowed. Items relating to pyro elements, space features such as blackholes, and pure light are not allowed.
