The GooBunnies
This humanoid species are made of magic and space. GooBunnies have human hands and pawed feet. They also have rabbit noses instead of human noses. They can have markings/tattoos.

Magic
GooBunnies are very magical beings. They are able to generate their own magic abilities.
A GooBunny's magic surrounds their core. What magic they are able to perform matches with their core rarity/shape.
Those with common cores can use this type of magic: elemental magic such as water, fire, earth, and air.
Those with rare cores can use this type of magic: nothingness and space magic such as gravity, teleportation, cosmokinesis and imperceptibility.
Those with mythic cores can use this type of magic: psychic and psionic magic such as reading minds, divination, astral manipulation, and telekinesis.
The more powerful the magic, such as manipulating others or black hole creation, the higher risk of running out of magic. Continual use of more weak magic over and over can also run the risk of causing a GooBunny to run out of magic.

Rest GooBunnies can run out of magic for a short time. When they run out, they revert back into their Rest Form.

When in Rest Form, they cannot use any magic. They have to focus on recuperating their magic while in this form. Most of the time GooBunnies in their rest form can be sleeping or just laying about. GooBunnies resort their magic by laying around and interacting with other GooBunnies.
Once a GooBunny recovers all their magic, they return back to their true form.

Lore The GooBunnies were created by space and the stars. It seems the stars were creating protectors for them from the darkness of void and death.
In the early years of the GooBunnies, they were very solitary and enjoyed keeping to themselves. However, they fell in love with the world around them and the species existing out there. GooBunnies still protect space, but they find themselves enjoying their lives more than protecting.

Bonding When two GooBunnies become extremely emotionally close (either friendship or lovers) they become Bonded.
The two that are Bonded are stuck together for life and are one another's most precious person. Their magic recuperates faster when being near their Bonded.
A GooBunny can only reBond when their original partner dies or becomes stuck in their Rest Form.
Being Bonded does not prohibit GooBunnies from loving someone else (friendship or romantically).
Bonding happens spontaneously and no GooBunny can force a Bond to occur.

Death and Birth GooBunnies are ageless and cannot die by natural causes. Some GooBunnies run out of magic when they get to over 5,000 years old and become stuck in their Rest Form. If a GooBunny stays outside the Locus for too long, their magic will drain quicker.
GooBunnies only die when killed by another GooBunny.
Baby GooBunnies are very rare as it is hard for a GooBunny to reproduce. Some GooBunnies go centuries without giving birth. GooBunnies cannot bred with other species naturally.

Culture and World GooBunnies live in a special plane of existence called the Locus. All GooBunnies can travel to the Locus at will and venture to other planes as well.
The Locus is a gaseous place that looks like clouds made from the stars. Plants don't naturally grow in the Locus but can with love and care.
They love meeting other species and making new friends and stories. If another closed species allows interaction, the GooBunnies can interact with them.
GooBunnies do not HAVE to live in the Locus, but they must have been born there.
Their existence transcends laws of time. One home can be from the 1400s while it's nextdoor neighbor can be from the 2010s.
