The pride resides on a hulking plateau, wider than it is tall (though the height is not something to scoff at). This is the Worldstone by which they are called- thought by the pride members and a handful of outsiders to be an ancient, fossilized tree from which the world originated. The pride spends most of it's daily life on the top of the Worldstone, with small clusters of lions venturing outwards to hunt for food and protect their territory. The Pride on the Worldstone does not consider their territory to end at the cliffs of the plateau, instead grasping their claws on as much of the surrounding land as they can manage. The surrounding territory is far different than the Worldstone itself- the top of the plateau is covered in trees and barren of most fauna other than the lions themselves, small arboreal mammals, visiting birds, and reptiles. At the very center of the Worldstone is a watering hole, a dip in the land where all the rainwater tends to gather. This is the Sunpool, being one of the only places not shadowed by the leaf cover. The land surrounding the plateau is a sprawling steppe, without a single tree in sight. As the majority of Worldstone lions spend much of their lives underneath it's trees, they tend to feel uncomfortable in that vast open. Those whose roles do not require their venture off the Worldstone rarely take the climb down to the "Low Stretch," as they call any part of the territory other than the Worldstone.
