WHAT IS A closed species?

A closed species refers to a concept commonly found in creative communities, particularly in the realms of art, writing, and role-playing. It's a species of fictional creatures, often with unique characteristics, traits, and lore, created by a specific individual or group. These creators might ask for certain restrictions on how others can use or create characters belonging to that species, such as requiring permission and following specific guidelines. The goal is to maintain a sense of uniqueness and administer over the species' development and portrayal within the community.

It also means that you are not allowed to make your own design without having a MYO.

"MYO" stands for "Make Your Own." In creative communities, particularly those focused on art, role-playing, and character creation, a MYO event or opportunity refers to a chance for individuals to design their own characters within the guidelines of a particular closed species. Participants are often given specific traits, colors, or features that they can use to create their own character that when approved, it will become official to show to the world.

HOW can i get a design?

There are a few ways to get your first design, among these are:

  1. Sales of official adoptables which, whenever possible, are available through World bulletins or on official accounts.
  2. Limited MYO sales announced by World bulletins.
  3. Sales or trades made by other users, sometimes members of the species become detached from their designs, so they can be passed on to other people.
  4. Entering advertised free raffles, designs and MYOs can always be offered throughout the months, entry can always be free or request entry to a specific event.

what is a master-list?

A species master-list is a comprehensive and organized collection of all characters that belong to a particular closed species. It serves as a central reference point for tracking and showcasing all the characters that have been created within that species' framework. The master-list typically includes information such as the character's name, appearance, traits, creator, and sometimes additional details like backstory or abilities.

Species master-lists are often maintained by the creators of closed species or by the community associated with that species. They help ensure consistency, prevent duplication, and provide a visual database of the diverse characters that make up the species. The Kyomochis Master-list are at the moment hosted on the Worlds forum.
