Overview

Infernia is the world of the arcane, undead, and those fallen from grace. All of which are ruled by a single matriarch and seven embodiements of sin that keep Infernia in check. It is a world that runs on pacts, souls, and power where cut throat tactics are not only encouraged, but nigh nessecary for survival.

The world itself is seperated into seven sectors corresponding to each of the seven sins, and jobs are seperated in the same way. The undead are only assigned one sin, and the fallen are assigned two corresponding to their power and how strong it is and if their mana is abnormally strong then they are made into guardians which is an incredibly rare circumstance. Most who have strong mana become demonic beasts who are then sent to the wrath wastelands as they are deemed too dangerous to be around the general populace.

WORLD INFO

Seven Sectors:

Wrath Sector:

The Wrath Wasteland, also known as the wrath sector, features the biggest prison in Infernia, home to demon hunters, exorcists, rebels, those who have broken the laws of Infernia, and the many guards of the prison. It is said that Wrath themselves stays within the prison to ensure maximum security. It is hard to say what goes on in the prison since anyone who leaves it either never seems to recall what happened, or refuses to talk about it. There is a rumor that there is mana experimentation going on, but no solid evidence.

Greed Sector:

Greed’s Sector, also known as the Casino District, is usually the center of nightlife. They have casinos, clubs, bars, and other places. They also happen to house banks and accounting companies, making sure that all of the currency in Infernia is flowing.

The Casino District also deals in what the mortal plane would consider ‘illegal occupations’. While they’re frowned upon in Infernia, jobs such as being an assassin, hitman, drug dealer, and in general being part of a criminal syndicate, are not considered illegal.

Envy Sector:

The Envy Sector, or The Fashion and Arts district, focuses on media such as news, radio, and television shows, and is essentially the ‘Hollywood’ of infernia. Many of the best actors and actresses tend to end up there. There are quite a few big brand stores in this district as well as the latest fashions are sold here.

Gluttony Sector:

The Gluttony Sector, or Food District, has all of the grocery shops, cafes, restaurants, and other food-related locations. One of their biggest attractions being known as Candy Land, an amusement park made completely of candies and sweets. It is also said to work in tandem with the other districts for catering services and bake sales.

Pride Sector:

The Pride Sector is also known as the Gates of Infernia since they all work as essentially the welcome committee for all new infernians, assigning them to sectors, jobs, and other things. It is also the center of the service industry to higher standing Infernians.

Lust Sector(18+ only):

The Lust Sector, also known as the Red District, is where things such as strip clubs, key dating locations, and matching services exist. It’s not rare to find prostitutes and brothels and lingerie shops here. The Red District is also known to produce dating websites and apps. The red district prohibits the nonconsensual use of drugs and other substances within its territory.

Sloth Sector:

The Sloth Sector, also known as the Warehouse District, is where things such as furniture and housing are. Many Infernians choose to find housing in the districts they work in, but they also have free housing waiting for them in the Warehouse District. There are teleportation units that can be bought that immediately teleports an infernian to their proper housing unit within the Warehouse District.

Extra World Information:

+Extravagant fashions are a common occurrence in Infernia, except for in the Sloth Sector, which aims for something cozier and more laid back.

+Common modes of transportation between sectors are busses, flying, or personally owned vehicles.

+Vehicles run on excess Mana that can be found at stations throughout Infernia.

+ Weather on Infernia tends to be rather violent in comparison to earth, with skin eating acid rain and storms of fire. Infernians are used to this, however, and have adapted to it.

+Schools exist in Infernia, but they are scattered amongst the different sectors and the schools teach different lessons depending on the sector they’re in.

THE HIERARCHY OF INFERNIA

The way Infernia works is on a power-based system, the more power the Infernian has the higher ranked they are considered. When an Infernian has more power than most they are often given more jobs, opportunities, and in general, capabilities to be more useful to the system as a whole.

The way an Infernians power works is based on what the soul wants, and depending on the strength of their mana depends on how much they can fulfill that want. Say an infernian wants some skittles, a weak infernian might be able to summon up one or two skittles, whereas a stronger infernian might be able to summon up a package or even a whole crate.

The most powerful Infernian is the Queen herself, although where she got such a vast amount of power is unknown and how she manages to keep it contained enough to not become a demonic beast has been lost to time. She is known to be rather busy being involved with her people, listening to their complaints as well as trying to do the best she can to fix what issues they have. But, of course, she can’t be everywhere at all times. This is where the Seven Sins come in.

The Seven Sins are the heads of each sector and they make sure everything operates smoothly, getting involved in a more intimate level with their sectors than what the queen can do. They usually send the queen monthly reports, and the queen herself is known to go and personally visit each sector regularly, both with and without warning, to make sure everything is going smoothly.

The seven sins and the queen collaborate to make the laws of Infernia, keeping them up to date and current to the state of their society. Yet, since the sins and the queen are too busy to enforce these laws, they needed some assistance. So they started up the Guardian program. This is a program in which Infernians or fallen angels are trained to hone their mana into more combative or mentally specialized techniques. They act as the law enforcement of Infernia, often doing what they are ordered to do and apprehending those who break the law. There are two tiers of Guardians, regular guardians who are stationed in each sector, and Royal Guardians who are stationed in the palace to protect the queen, but more importantly to keep the sins themselves in line.

Below the guardians are the fallen angels, these individuals tend to be assigned a guardian to carefully monitor them to see how they adjust to the infernian lifestyle from their time as an Angelic. The guardian is also assigned to a fallen angel to make sure that they don’t cause any issues in the sector that they work for, or that if they do the issues are dealt with.

Below the Fallen Angels is every other infernian, usually those who are strong enough to be in two sectors are considered as slightly above average, but it’s uncommon enough that those special cases can be categorized under the Fallen Angel tier.

Put simply the hierarchy goes:

+Queen and Royal Family

+Seven Sins

+Guardians

+Fallen Angels

+Souls of the dead

TYPES OF INFERNIANS AND HOW MANA WORKS

Infernians are a species of demonic entities that are ruled by the matriarch of their society, who acts as a deity-esque figure. They can come in many shapes and sizes, but all are sorted into 7 different sectors that represent the 7 sins.

Different types of Infernians

Souls of the Deceased [Common]:

Many Infernians come from the souls of the deceased that are not allowed into the Celestial Ring, the place where the Celestials or the Angelics reside. These souls then go through a process in which the sin they indulged in most during their time alive is revealed, and they are then sent to the specific sector of Infernia that corresponds to that sin. Their color palette and look tends to fall under whatever sin they are placed in, making it easier to tell who is from what sector. These sectors tend to dictate what they do, who they work for, and how they collect souls from the living.

These souls are the most common throughout Infernia, and each can recall exactly how they died but may choose to forget if they want. The amount of mana a soul arrives with depends on how corrupt or morally gray the individual was in their previous life, the more corrupt they were the more aggressive their mana manifests giving the soul a more monstrous form.

Fallen Angels [Uncommon]:

There are quite a few Infernians who fall under the ‘Fallen Angel’ category. These individuals are those who have been kicked out of the Celestial Ring, and they tend to have a higher standing in Infernian society. Fallen angel infernians are allowed to work in more than one sin sector since their mana is naturally more powerful, allowing them more abilities that would benefit more sectors.

Despite being in higher standing, however, Fallen angels are also watched much more carefully due to how powerful their mana can be and the kind of mayhem they can cause.

Guardians| Royal Guardians [Rare| Admin Only]:

These Infernians can fall under any of the above categories, but they are trained specially to be guards of the royal family, along with being the law enforcement in Infernia as a whole. They are the ones tasked with keeping the Demonic Beast population down and taking out those with too much mana. In general, they do the dirty work of the Queen, since she is often too busy to deal with such matters herself.

Changelings and Children:

There are even fewer Infernians who were born and raised in the dimension of Infernia. These children are sometimes swapped out with human children in the form of changelings, however, due to the strength of mana throughout Infernia the human children end up taking on features common to the infernians in the sector they live in.

The mana within human children is considerably weaker but despite this they tend to make great candidates as couriers due to their strong mana resistance, making them resilient individuals. Perfect for individuals who have to go into multiple different sectors a day to deliver mail and other packages.

Reproduction between Infernians and humans (or other closed species) is possible! But to make designs for children you will need an MYO slot to do so. If it is a child with another closed species be sure to follow their rules as well!

How Infernians Function:

Mana:

Mana is a soul-based energy source that all Infernians are fueled by. They need it to fuel not just themselves, but their magic capabilities and to be able to appear on the mortal plane to make pacts with non-Infernians.

Mana also has the ability to effect those who are not resistant to it mentally and physically, giving them common infernian traits and manipulating them mentally depending on the sector the individual is in.

Mana color, and how it physically shows depends on what sector the Infernian resides in. For example, a wrath Infernians mana might show itself as flames of rage in the colors of green-blue, gray, black, and white.

Magic:

Magic refers to the abilities that an Infernian gains from their mana. Abilities are heavily influenced by what sin sector the Infernian resides in, and the strength of said abilities depends on how corrupted the individual was in their previous life.

Magic can become too powerful for the Infernian to control, turning the Infernian much more monstrous in appearance. Those who become complete Demonic Beasts are sent into the Wrath Wastelands to minimize the damage caused to other Infernians.

Pacts:

Pacts are a soul bound contract formed between an Infernian and a mortal soul, or two Infernians who are in mutual agreement on a deal. Pacts between Infernians and mortals allows the Infernian to freely travel to the mortal plane as long as that pact is in place.

Infernians can have more than one pact going at a time.

If a pact is broken, however, there are many different things that can happen depending on how said pact was broken.

  • If it is due to the Mortal attempting to break off the pact after they have gained benefit from it the mortal can then have their soul freely taken or possessed by the Infernian they have made a pact with, forcing them to become a host for that Infernian whether that was part of the initial arrangement or not. This allows the Infernian to gain exponentially more mana than a normal pact.
  • If it is due to the Infernian attempting to break off the pact then the Infernian themself loses a significant portion of their mana to the individual who they broke the pact off with, usually giving that mortal minor magic abilities. This makes it so the Infernian cannot go onto the mortal plane for quite a bit of time.
  • If both try to break off the pact after it is made the souls of the mortal and the Infernian fuse into one individual, combining random experiences, personality traits, and physical features. As well as giving them new magic abilities on top of the ones the Infernian already had. This process can prove fatal to both parties.

  • Souls:
Souls are a very important energy source to an Infernian allowing them to become more powerful and gain more mana and abilities. The magic abilities they gain from different souls that they consume depends on the kind of pact made, and the more corrupt the soul the bigger the mana boost.
    Hosts:
Hosts allow Infernians to freely go to and from the mortal plane without needing a pact and allows the Infernian to see what is going on at any time through the eyes of their host, along with being able to possess their host.
The host gains abilities based on how much control they’ve allowed the Infernian to have over them. The more control the Infernian has, the stronger the abilities the host will gain.

Traits

【Eyes】

On Infernia eyes can represent an individuals perspective in things, the rarer the eye set the more mana that individual tends to have. Sclera color and eye color (including heterochromia) can vary wildly across infernians, making it rather common to see individuals with purple sclera, or green sclera, or any other color for that matter, along with mismatched eye colors. An important note, however, is that those who are Fallen Angels can manifest a multitude of extra, mana based eyes. The colors of which tend to match the color of their mana.
