World Policies

Policies

General Rules

  • Anyone can join the world, whether you have a mirn or not. Requests to join are open!
  • Kindness is king. Be good to each other. Harassment, bullying, vaguing, and hate speech will not be tolerated.
  • You may advertise any mirn-related business in the comments section of the front page, such as trades or sales, but please do not spam your offers.

Species Rules

  • The mirn are a closed species, which to us means that only officially recognized mirn can be used in group events, prompts, or any other aspects of the game. You also cannot create usable characters with unapproved designs. That said, if you have an idea for a mirn that you can’t or don’t want to make official right away, you can post your writing or drawing piece to the “concepts” folder.
  • Designs awaiting approval can be posted in the “concepts” folder on Toyhou.se or the myo-check channel on Discord. You must have proof of ticket ownership (screenshots of the original ticket image) for MYO approval.
  • You may not use any of the concepts in the concepts folder without permission of the original owner. Those designs may not be approved, but they still belong to the original designers and not free for the taking.
  • Certain design changes, such as skin patterning, body type, and hairstyle can be changed at will. Any changes to established traits require the appropriate item and approval from an admin.
  • You may sell, gift, or trade any design for any price. The only time this rule does not apply is if a specific artist’s TOS forbids it. Be sure to read artist TOS carefully before purchasing any designs. Tickets without designs attached may not be sold; only gifted or traded.
  • Please report design exchanges to the admins so the current owner may be noted on the masterlist. Failure to report may result in you being contacted to straighten out any issues with a specific character.
  • Trades and sales must be approved by both parties. No exceptions.
  • We do not recognize official co-ownership of mirn, so share your characters at your own discretion. Issues with the design will be taken up with the listed owner on the masterlist.

Canon Compliance

The lore for the mirn is optional, but only canon-compliant characters may participate in most aspects of the game. Additionally, canon-compliant characters may be featured in events, quests, or other official mirn business (with your permission and involvement, of course). Non-compliant characters may still have non-exclusive mirn pets, but that’s the extent of game involvement. Crossbreeds will be considered non-compliant, as there is no way in lore to canonically crossbreed at this time.

Artist Policies

All artists set their own prices, but are encouraged to reach out the admin team if they need help with pricing. Artists are also encouraged to take MYO ticket price, adopt rarity, and their own skill into account when setting prices. All artists are required to join the discord for the duration of their time as mirn artists for ease of communication.

Guest Artists

Guest artists are artists who wish to utilize the species' community to make a little money without being too involved in the species itself or artists who are testing the water with the species in general. Some notes:

  • WE DO NOT TAKE A CUT FROM GUEST ARTISTS. You keep 100% of your profits.
  • Guest artists may make common and uncommon mirn only. You are locked out of rare traits, mutations, and RLC traits.
  • Guest artists may make a maximum of four mirn per round of adopts.
  • Guest artists have a three month cooldown between rounds of adopts.
  • Do not harass the admin team about guest artist positions outside of posted announcements seeking guest artists.

Demi-god Artists

Demi-god artists are artists who are invested in the species and would like to participate as staff members that help with the species' general art needs, event planning, and other behind-the-scenes work. Some notes:

  • The group takes a 10% cut of a demi-god artist's profits to help support the species, but this amount is paid back in species currency (glim seeds).
  • Demi-god artists may make common, uncommon, and rare mirn with full access to mutations. RLC traits require approval from an admin.
  • Demi-god artists recieve a 10% discount on all shop items, both species currency and RLC.
  • Demi-god artists must stick to a schedule of at least one piece of group art or one adopt per month.
  • Ideal demi-god artists will have successfully completed one guest artist round, but this is not strictly mandatory.
