Before the species of Ventura became humanoid, winter was the more peaceful and relaxed time of year, most pests were hibernating and most of the food was no longer growing. This season was dedicated to relaxing and having fun, as well as being the most common mating season.
Tailends:
At the start of winter, a male tailend’s antlers would shed. If this male was single, he would use the plants around him as dye and decorations to turn the antlers into a decoration for a den, if the tailend he was interested in was impressed enough they would become partners and keep this decoration in their den. If the male had nobody to impress, their antlers were either turned into a weapon to hold or saved as spares.
Now that tailends are humanoid, they find partner’s differently, their small horns still shed but they are not used to impress anyone anymore. They are commonly carved into and given as gifts to people they care about, these are seen a very sentimental and aren’t given out easily.
