Standard Traits


WINGS

The wings of a Pixia can be in any shape and form, being located (not optionally) on their backs, additionally on their arms and legs (optional). They may also have it on their cheeks. The second pair of wings that are usually had with butterflies are optional, though recommended to be added.

ANTENNA

Their antennas may look alike their wings, sharing the same pattern, but not always (optional feature: antenna texture). They range in shapes and sizes, some being slender and others being more puffed.

LITHE

Lithes are 'antennas' that run along their tail or backs (optional). Not all have lithes, but some do! They generally look like their wings OR antenna. If they were evolved by a deity (i.e. Kimaya or Kyoka), their lithe can look a bit different.

TAILS

The tail of the pixia can be compared to a shark; anatomy wise. Some can also appear more dolphin or whale-like in shape. Most are medium to long in length and thick ending with 2 fins. The tail fins are replaced with a wing-like texture (matches their wings). At times, lithes will sit on top of the tail. Some Pixias also develop a shorter tail either through mutation or injury.

FUR

Fur can be wrapped around their necks, arms and/or their legs. It varies for each Pixia and come in different colours and markings/patterns. It is possible for a Pixia to be covered in fur, especially if they live in a colder climate. Those in the Darkfern realm are known to possess really thick and medium-long fur as it is extremely cold.

COLOUR/MARKINGS

Pixias range in a variety of colours, patterns and markings. Any type of hair, wings from all colours, tail colour, etc. However, some pixias adapted and developted to take on the appearance of real world butterflies. Others prefer to appear like faeries. Many also take on the look of other winged creatures, such as moths, eagles, etc.

EAR SHAPE

All Pixias have ears! They can be any length within reason and be of any species! However, the insides of their ears also replicate the texture and pattern of a butterfly wing. Due to Deity Involvement, they can mutate and have another pair.

MUTATIONS

Yes, even Pixias have mutation and majority of them are caused by deity involvement. Mutations will include halos, multiple limbs, multiple tails, multiple eyes, exposed inner parts, multiple wings (i.e head wings), etc.

HEIGHT

Pixias are quite small. Most are the size of your hand while others can be human sized. The max size being 6ft.
