Gudecoons are a therapeutic magic like bear species. They’re not Hostile, They’re actually very assertively pacifist. Other than defending their children and friend, through non violent means, they’re actually hunted by poachers. Why? Because of a few factors.
Why they’re being hunted
It’s literally not because they’re good to eat. Their meat is useless and not good to eat. So they’re not being hunted for food. Let’s get that clear. Their furs and tails are used in the fashion market and for clothing, and housing decorations. Something about having the softest, fluffy, and very warm fur alive are seemingly very popular for rugs, mats, coats, socks, fur-inlined shoes scarves, etc. Their paws and cheeks are filled with a magical healing and therapeutic, all-curing substance. So not only are merchanise-focused companies are killing them, but Doctor’s and illnesses are kidnapping them for their paw use and using them for medical reasons only. They’re ears are literally good luck. It’s a superstition, or is it?
Where are they?
Because of poachers and the fact that they’re constantly being hunted, attracting unwanted attention, they’re hyper-rarely sighted In the normal world or worlds. They now live behind protective barriers on many different planets, that when found in the right place at the right time, you can see, push into, and end up in a pocket dimension that travels universally. Plus, they’re filled with Gudecoons!
Granted those that have found these pockets but found themselves staying for the safety and care of Gudecoons, have become allies, caretakers, farmers, and gatekeepers to these pockets and Gudecoons. As soon as trust is violated however, they are expelled from the pocket immediately upon the deed being done. Without evidence of Gudecoon’s existence, memories of them retained, and when the pockets appear, they no longer are able to see or access them.
Size and Meal type!
Gudecoons are bigger than the largest black bear again, and as small as a human baby at the smallest. They are literally big, soft, kind creatures. They are herbivores, and literally eat fruit, nuts, and some veggies.
- What are their restrictions?
They have to look like a Gudecoon. Long ears, long tail, Fluffy, adorable, etc. (basically the picture) - You can be absolutely creative with their colours, eyes, and mutations.
- in terms of physical features, please draw in your style the Gudecoons you’d like.
- they also have to have the features above to be a gudecoon.
- you can also have a humanoid or monster be an ally, farmer, caretaker, or gatekeeper to the Gudecoons.
- villians don’t last long but they do spice up the plot and add flaws to your Gudecoons in the form of trust issues, and trauma.
- Gudecoons can have pets, please design your own though, I’d like to see your creativity! only rule is that they have to be small!
