Great Strides is the world after a nuclear apocalypse, radiation mutating those in the world above to give them inhuman capabilities, access to mystic planes, given magical properties. Orcs, Elves, Dwarves, Tieflings, creatures of all kinds were birthed from this mass loss of life and destruction of civilization. This world is protected by the remnants of those who left it to them.

There are no humans. The last glimpses of humans are the Divinity, those who died in sacrifice, protecting other humans. They bless the new generation, guiding them from the mistakes humanity made that destroyed their world. The blasts tore the world asunder, and the Divinity repaired it and made the world anew. The Divine restored the lands, provided it all with new life, beauty, and resources. Enough to sustain the new chapter of humanity.
