I wanted to clear up something that I have seen people get confused on about the species' hiatus

The species is NOT leaving for good, the species is NOT stopping forever.
This is just a temporary hiatus until we can get back into the groove of things, and hopefully come back with a clear mind and fresh new ideas!

Sorry to anyone who thought we were leaving for good! We are just going to be taking a pause for a while, that's all.

Hello everyone- this is extremely important, so please read.

We love and adore Pteronaps so much, but they're just not rewarding to us anymore. For the work I have been doing all on my own since the species started, and for the artwork that Locke has been making that has gotten no interest, we just don't see a reason to keep working on these guys. I do so much for these little guys that people don't see, just to receive no return in response for my work. Our adoptables don't sell, we're not getting engagement in prompts or events despite the things we try and plan out for people to do. The small handful of people that stick with Pteronaps isn't turning into more people- we aren't growing, we aren't gaining traction, we aren't being talked about or considered. It is disheartening to have been trying to grow for three years with these babies, just to see little to no growth at all in the end.

We both love and adore this species so much, but it's just not worth it to continue on with them at this point in time.
Sorry to be so vulnerable, but at the end of the day, what I'm saying is this: Pteronaps will be going on hiatus for an indefinite amount of time.
There will be no new adopts, no new giveaways, no new prompts/events, no new MYO Events or slots given out, and no new items. We are completely stopping with Pteronaps for an uncertain length of time.

The last thing I will be working on is a whole new Charadex site for the masterlist, so that we have an actual proper-looking masterlist for people to go to. I will send an update once that site is up and running. We're sorry it came to this, but we really don't see Pteronaps going up from here. I am forever grateful for the love our handful of people have shown to these little guys, and I'm hoping we can come back one day better than ever.

The server will be staying up. The world and website will be staying up. There will just be nothing new happening with them.
No one loses the MYO slots that they had, and no one is going to lose any items or currency.

Think of this as more of a stand-still than an actual ending to everything. Nothing new will be happening for quite some time, is all. Again, we are truly sorry for it having to come to such an abrupt stop, and without any warning. Locke and I have just finally reached our breaking point.

I will send the update for when the new masterlist website is up and running within the next few weeks, I hope! Thank you again, everyone.
Hopefully, we can come back refreshed sometime in the future. But, for now, we are stopping all work on the species until further notice.

Also, we will not be selling or getting rid of the species. They are going to forever stay with us- this is just a temporary pause.

🌸Sakura Festival🌸 

Hello everyone! The Sakura Festival is here once again! The festival is when a colony gets together to celebrate spring!
As Spring arrives, so does the warm weather and the falling Sakura petals.
The world is painted in pink for many Nap colonies, and the coming of Spring means many new beginnings for the entire colony!

For this prompt, write or draw about what your Pteronap would do during the coming of Spring!
Would they spend their time playing in the Sakura petals and basking in the warm weather?
Would they begin indulging in the Sakura-flavored treats?
Or is your little Nap more reserved, and would rather stay at home than go participate in the festivities?

Hello everyone! The Winter Glowfly Celebration is finally back once again! For the prompt this year, we'd like to know how your little Nap(s) celebrate this time of year! Or... do they not like to celebrate at all? Whatever the answer is, we would still love to know! Mini prompts are also back open as well, hurray!

Hello everyone! It is time for the first MYO Event of the New Year!
This event will have a total of 20 slots, and will last until every slot is taken.
Plus, this event will grant you the chance to gain up to TWO Free Uncommon Traits!

Here are some rules:
1- Only one slot per person. Though, you are allowed to claim a slot for a friend who is unable to get their own!
THOUGH! You may not claim a slot for yourself if you claim one for someone else. One or the other ONLY.
2- Your slot is for a Common MYO slot. Meaning you may only use Common traits!

Hello everyone! Today is Pteronap's third anniversary! Locke and I want to thank all of you for participating in our species, and for still loving them after all this time!
I will be going over multiple different things this update, so I would love if you all gave it a read!

REDONE MAP + NEW NPCs!:
The map has been entirely redone, with more detail added! Along with the map being redrawn, there are two new NPCs! This time, the NPCs are two of the humans that work in the Sanctuary.
First is Luka! The leader of the Sanctuary, and the person in charge! They take their job very seriously, and work hard for the benefit of every Nap- whether the Nap be a wild one, or one living at the Sanctuary!
Second is Hana! She is the main worker who takes care of the garden, and prides herself in her job of making sure all the little Naps are full and happy! She is also the one to help any injured Naps, as well as doing the job of making sure that they are all warm and clean.

THE HOME MAKER!:
The Home Maker is now complete, and you can design your Pteronaps' homes! You are free to decorate the house however you'd like, which means that you may draw in your own furniture, as well as use the ones provided! You are also free to draw your little Naps in the home, and you may design as many homes as you'd like! The Home Maker is a PSD file, so please make sure that your device can open them before downloading! Locke will occasionally draw new furniture and the-like from now on to add to the PSD file, so what is there currently won't be all! As the time goes on and more events happen, more furniture will be made to be added into your Nap's home.

A NEW BERRY?:
A new wild Berry has been found growing around Sanctuary! It looks like a strawberry, but is actually called a 'Mimic Berry!' These tricky Berries like to attract any and all Naps with its 'sweet' look and scent, but many Naps greatly dislike them! This is because they are actually extremely bitter, and tend to hurt little Nap tummies! The seeds attract Naps so that their seeds may stick onto their coats. The seeds will then be scattered around once the Pteronap flies away, unknowingly dropping all the seeds that were attached to them!
The new Berry is not a currency, but more of a fun world-building item!

Halloween has come to your Pteronap's community! The atmosphere is bright and playful, and your little Nap is out getting some well-deserved treats!
Many Naps are dressed up in their little makeshift costumes, and can be seen gliding around from tree-to-tree and burrow-to-burrow asking for some good snacks to fill up their baskets!

Speaking of costumes, what will your Pteronap dress up as? Is your Nap more into something simple like wearing a sheet and pretending to be a ghost?
Or are they more complex, and like to build a whole unique costume!
