Steamtrain's Library's Bulletins
Hey! This place has been pretty quiet, so I figured I’d pop in and let you all know what’s going on.
Starting from today, I will no longer be running Steamtrain’s Library and all its associated species (Chiivae, Prisbuns, Dusklings, Caeleche) and will instead be passing ownership to Delusional! He will be taking FULL OWNERSHIP of this world from now on. He’s proven himself to be a dedicated member of the species, so I trust that you’re all in good hands. I’m forfeiting any ties I have with the species, so I will no longer be writing, drawing, nor designing for it.
I simply don’t find myself as interested in adoptables, CS/OS, and Toyhouse in general as I was before. I’ve travelled to another country to study; I’d be doing everyone a disservice by not leaving behind something I’ve lost my passion for. That’s about all! It’s nothing personal, I swear ;)
In any case, I’m not sure what direction this species will go in as I’m no longer in charge of anything (I had a rework in progress like… years ago, if anyone remembers, and while I sent my drafts to the new owner I’m not involved in production anymore), but I’m sure it’ll be a good one!

What should Chiivae be? [read bulletin]
College applications are finally coming to a close and I'll finally be able to taste some freedom again. I can't say how soon it'll happen, but I'm feeling pretty optimistic about eventually getting the rework out, especially after I'm officially done with most of the brunt of the work. Unfortunately my time is currently dominated by more important things at the moment and I don't have anything to show you, but I figured I'd give some sort of update nonetheless.
You've seen the past bulletin about me no longer wanting to have Chiivae fully closed, but I'm also curious on whether you'd prefer it as a fully open or semi-open species. I've asked the Discord and they seem to be largely in the favour of having it semi-open as opposed to fully open, but it's worth asking here nonetheless. Please vote; it's anonymous!
At the moment, I'm just permitting people to freely make all sorts of Chiivae as I work to set it up and give more concrete regulations and the such. I'm also planning to rework Prisbuns. Then, I'll relaunch everything and we'll be good to go again.
If I do end up having the species semi-open, MYOs will be donation-based, just like Jelveils. The "closed" portion would only be the forgottens and half-forgottens, and since the species doesn't necessarily run on a trait-based system, masterlisting would be a lot easier, and it'd just be a spreadsheet showing who owns what as opposed to what the Jelveils have (which is a bit of a nightmare to work on).
However, even if we end up going semi-open, the old tickets won't really come back into usefulness due to how awful and clunky the tracking system for them was. I'll be reworking the new MYO system into a spreadsheet, and all the current ticket profiles that still exist CAN'T be used to make Chiivae, even after the rework, but they CAN be traded in for Jelveil goodies. Each ticket, regardless of how it was obtained, will now be worth $5, which means with one, you can get yourself a Veilthing, for two, a Common MYO, for three, a Rare. This is a bit of an odd statement but I hope you understand why this is, thanks!
In any case, I'm excited to be able to breathe life into this old piece of work at some point. Please vote.

i know this species hasn’t been updated in so long, but i figured i’d post a bulletin and let you guys know what’s going on.
i can’t deal with two closed species at once, so i’m planning to open these guys up. i also don’t want to relinquish my status as owner.
anyone who paid for a ticket, used or unused, can use it as a “discount” from me. a ticket was $4.50, but i did have a sale event where i’d sold crossbreed tickets for $5, so depending on how much you paid is how much the discount would be worth.
i won’t be applying this to amino coin tickets.
papers can get this discount too. 200 is roughly worth $1, so use that as the conversion.
go ahead and use this on my other cs, lol.
furthermore, i’ll be using this world to host some of my open species, just so they aren’t floating around in the middle of nowhere.
i still am reworking the species, but as you can all probably tell, the jelveils totally dominated my attention, lol.

I’ve already teased this in the Discord, but I’m working on a little revamp of the species, with new traits!
Don’t worry, you won’t have to redesign your existing Chiivae (unless you want to, but don’t feel pressured to do so!) since one of these traits is optional, and you could claim your Chiivae already has the other (since it’s a wrap-thing that goes around the body, it can be hidden under clothing.)
There’s some adjustments to the rarity systems, so I’ll bump some Chiivae up in rarity if it’s applicable. No need to worry! No redesigns are needed whatsoever.
I’m planning on having another MYO event when the sheets are all completed but that won’t be until some time.
