The Demoterra, to put it simply, are a demonic bug-inspired creature that range from 5 to 8 feet tall (150 - 250 cm) and, depending on the type, are bipedal. 

Demoterra come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and social alignment that there could possibly be, but to break them down into races for the sake of organization, we can classify them into 4 main types:

Geo- resembles that of many of our world’s grounded bugs. This includes, but is not limited to: beetles, ants, crickets, stickbugs, etc.

Aero- resembles that of many of our world’s primarily-flight bugs. This includes, but is not limited to: butterflies, moths, flies, ladybugs, etc.

Preda- resembles that of many of our world’s arachnids and primarily predatory bugs. This includes, but is not limited to: Spiders, scorpions, centipedes, ticks, mites, etc.

Deep beneath the Earth’s crust, is a world not yet discovered by human kind. Demoterras are a species of bug-like demons that burrowed down millennia ago to escape the uninhabitable climates of prehistoric periods. Like any intellectual lifeform, their minds developed, creating their own languages, technologies, and societies despite their unusual habitat. In this underworld, their lifestyle has remained as consistent as any community could be, although the problems within their society soon reveal themselves in the worst way possible. With a new queen in reign and the dynamic of “kill or be killed” is enacted, many Demoterra turned to the unthinkable in order to escape her tyranny: breach the surface into a world foreign to them. 

Now refugees in a place they’d only heard of in stories, these newly surfaced Demoterra must survive on Earth’s surface...which is much easier said than done. Given that the surface of course already has inhabitants, what is the next chosen course for these Refugee Demoterra?
