Doréion's Solar System:

Contains 6 planets, 2 suns and 16 moons. The Doréion's planet: [DR-269]

The Doréion's main sun: [R-829-A]

The Doréion's second sun: [R-829-B]

The Doréion's first moon: [B-8321-AB

The Doréion's second moon: [B-8321-AC]

The Doréion's third moon: [B-8321-AD]

Timezone:

Days on the Oasis are longer than on earth, it is approximately 20 hours of sun and 10 hours of night, and around 479 days in a year. Their nights are still warm, unlike Earth's deserts. Doreion are not nocturnal creatures and take their sleep time seriously! They are big sleepers! The suns are often energy giving for them.

First discovered:

First discovered on the planet DR-269, in a small galaxy hidden inside Orion Milky way in the human year 2578. The first Doreion discovered was an individual with golden embroidery,  which is where the Doréion nickname came from. Doré (meaning Golden) mixed with Orion (the galaxy locations).

Humans and Doréions:

Humans and Doréions have created an alliance since they have met. Doréions being up to date with most other intergalactic species, shared their knowledge to the humans. This knowledge helped humans to understand more about galaxies and species. As the Doreion started to be dangerously hunted, the humans offered shelter on their planet and space bases. Doreion and humans often fight together and research together. Most humans are okay with Doreion living as their neighbours and co-workers. Doréion adapted very quickly to human cities and climates.

General:

Doréion [Do-rey-i-on] are an almost extinct alien species based in a very far galaxy. Doréions have always been hunted by other species due to their special traits: their body is made with precious minerals, metals and gems.  Due to their "hunted" status, Doreions are  hiding anywhere in the galaxy in search of safe places where they won't be captured. Hunters found Doreion extremely valuable in galaxies where planets already got mined and extracted from minerals and gems. Some Doreion have gems and minerals that are so rare that people wonder if these still exist on any planets. Hunters will catch vulnerable Doreions because some can be extremely agile and with their venomous spine it can be a hard job to catch them. Gem and metal extraction from Doreion are painful and deadly. That is why their population has decreased dramatically. Doreion are widely known as an archivists species, a species that archive and class scientific researches and other species classifications. They are very up to date with intergalactic and inter-species alliances. Doreions generally have a high education. It is not rare to see other species coming to study here. It takes around 60 Doreion years to achieve the level of education to become a scientist, researcher or an archivist. Individuals with higher education are generally very respected in the Doréion community as they are considered important to their society.

Doreion culture and diet:

Doreion is rich in culture and food, they have a lot of holidays and traditional food.

Doréion culture is centred around their environment and the sun. They absolutely respect their planet the best they can. They created artificial woods to avoid cutting trees too much. Doréion's planet is  rich sea creatures, it was a must for Doréion to have massive aquariums to protect smaller and rarer fishes and creature in danger. They have smaller holidays on new discoveries of species of fishes.

They love the sun, not only does it help with their mood, it's also good for their skin!

Doreion traditional clothes are tight tops that leaves their back open to the air, letting their  embroidery shining to the sun as a "good luck" sign. They have optional baggy sleeves and jewellery (of the same embroidery metal and gems as the doreion) to decorate and make their outfit more personalised. These outfits are only worn for special occasions.

Every year, on the day which the suns is the highest in the sky, Doréion have a giant celebration in the central of their city. They will celebrate from sunrise to sunset. The town central will be decorated with the "foeeri" which is the sun's flower. These are large (40cm - 60 cm) yellow or purple flowers that once a year creates large  "flashy pink" fruits. These fruits are sweet and often served as dessert on holidays only. The flowers smell very fruity, sweet with a touch of fresh minty undertones. The leaves of the Foeeri flower are edibles (but not the flower itself), they taste actually pretty good! Doréion usually rolls a piece of raw fish into the Foeeri leaf and eat it has it is.

A classic Doreion diet is based on fruits, vegetables and fish. They rarely eat other types of meat but it's not impossible! It's just not as wildly available as fishes. Doréion stomach acid and body heat is actually able to kill off bacteria from raw meat! And so they can eat a large variety of food from other planets too!

Doreion habitat:

Doreion are a very pacific species living in a desert/oasis looking planet. Water, sands, beach, humid forests and canyons. The main forests are "red forest", plants that have so much light and nutrients that their leaves turn a bright red or dark pink. There are even floating mountains with waterfalls. There is a very large ocean full of aquatic living creatures. The most large creatures are flying looking whales that seem to enjoy going through the waterfalls that the floating island provides. Doreion lives in communities in cities Doreion made. The temperature on their home planet is extremely hot, since Doréion aren't very adapted to cold environments. Cold is one of their main weaknesses. Doréions society is adapted from their evolution. Doréion are climbers and are adapted to climb a lot of surfaces. They have high buildings and houses since Doréion feels secure in heights. Doréion with default animal traits are better adapted to climbing while Hoofed (a subspecies) are adapted for deserts and savanna. Still all buildings and houses are adapted for all! A typical Doréion house is very high in height and short in length. Since they only sleep on their stomach, their bed and rest are in the highest part of their living space while other places, such as the kitchen, are in the lower ground. There are also very big windows to let the sun shine inside since Doréion needs sunlight to warm their blood (like turtle and snake).

Previous evolution:

Ancient doreion, are a previous type of doreion evolution. They were adapted to colder temperatures as they started appearing around the ice age of their planet. They had extremely hot inside temperatures keeping their body out of the danger zone. They had fur near their feet to protect from the cold when walking in the snow. Their long fluffy tail would swing on the snow to hide their footsteps to avoid predators. Their "fake" extra spines' purpose is to create a stronger rib cage structure. These spines are also poisonous, they occupy a larger zone to infect poison in case of predators. Their main predators had large jaws able to crush a Doréion in one shot, this is why their ribcage structure is reinforced.

They were already very intelligent, able to craft clothes and habitation to  adapt to their environment. As the planet started to warm up, doreion slowly evolved into their modern form. They lose their fake spines, their fur, their long tail becomes balder as their main predators get instinct. Though they have new "predators", hunters that are looking for their precious metal and gems.

The ancient form is the primary form of the Doréion on this planet. They are known for their height and extremely long spine spikes. At that time their main predators were big enough to hunt the Doreion, once the ice age ended, these super predators became extinct since it couldn't adapt as fast as the others.

In the modern age the ancient gene is extremely rare to reappear on a new Doréion. Each Doréion has around 0-4% of the Ancient gene in their DNA. With a lot of luck and a higher percentage, a baby Ancient can be born.
