Florestrials are quadrupedal, fire-breathing carnivores that live intelligent lives on the planet Triamaate. Flowers grow from their manes and they reside in the harshest climates of Triamaate.
They are a closed species.

Information
Obtaining a Florestrial
Currently, the only way to obtain a custom Florestrial is through Patreon; otherwise you can get them through DTAs (Draw To Adopt) or buying an adopt. Another way is through eggsitting entries.
Until everything is no longer a work in progress, customs will remain exclusive to Patreon members.
Ownership Rules
Can you sell your Florestrials? Yes, you can. The buyer must be given knowledge of the Discord server (https://discord.gg/4sQS3kFeut) and DeviantArt group, however; and the admin must be notified of the character transfer.
Shinies
Florestrials are descendants of dragons, and therefore have an underlying urge to hoard shiny objects.
Shinies are a Florestrial "currency" used as a reward for participating in the group by creating art. Here’s how shinies work: they stack as you add things to your image, and there’s always a base. The base can be the main idea (headshot or fullbody) and add ons (+shading etc) can be used to make the shinies stack.

Activities and Events
Silk Passage
A young Florestrial is on their own in the forest for the time in their life. There are multiple ways to represent your Flor hitting adulthood:
- Draw your flor controlling their fire-breathing abilities.
- Draw your flor in their new home
- Draw your flor exploring for their new home
- Draw your flor bonding with someone else they found on their adventure.
- Draw your flor successfully taking down something twice its size.
- Draw your flor defending its home against others.
OR, come up with something yourself and make sure you check in with us first to give it a thumbs-up. The Silk Passage is a right of passage that is unique to YOUR flor.
Once your Flor finishes their SP (Silk Passage), you can then begin to receive Shinies and participate in events and activities.
* If you do not draw, feel free to write your flor doing these things or RP it with others!

Denbuilding
When a Florestrial acquires a territory, they must find and make a place to sleep. Building a den is no easy task. Florestrials can grow quite large, and some may have horns that tower over their head. For this reason, a Florestrial's den needs to be big- bigger even if the Florestrial has a travelling partner or mate.
To participate, draw your Florestrial...
collecting materials -
building it's den (via digging, cleaning out an old hole, placing - objects at the entrance, etc)
examining/sitting in it's completed den -
inside the den -
finding a spot where the den will be built -
decorating it's den -
finding an abandoned den -
Denbuilding isn't required to participate in other activities (the silk passage is required to participate in any activity), but having a Denbuilding entry will earn your Florestrial +5 Territory Points

Florestrial PvP 
PvP is an event you can do to gain Shinies and TP (territory points). You must draw one of your Florestrials defending their territory against another Florestrial. If your Flor has a mate/partner, it can increase your chances of winning against your opponent. After the piece is made, a WIN or LOSE will be rolled for your Flor. A Silk Passage entry is required to participate in this event.
To participate in PvP, players must:
- Player A makes a piece of their Florestrials fighting, and Player B also makes a piece of their Florestrials fighting.
- Player A and Player B collaborate on a piece of their Florestrials fighting.
- Player A can choose to not collaborate with another player and draw a piece of an NPC Florestrial fighting their Florestrial instead.
After a PvP Piece is made, a result will be rolled.
The winner will gain Territory Points (TP) and Shinies.
The loser will gain Shinies and will lose Territory Points.
To participate in PvP, players must:
- Player A makes a piece of their Florestrials fighting, and Player B also makes a piece of their Florestrials fighting.

After some fostering you are relieved to find that the egg has life in it. After getting attached to it from keeping it warm every night, you (proudly) decide to raise it.

After you receive your new Florestrial, you can do whatever you want as long as you follow the description of the random design!

The Valley of Life is a temperate broadleaf mixed forest with swathes of land between trees. A mountain range resides to the east, casting vast mountains on the horizon.

Dragon's Spire is a cave stretching below a trench in the ground that spreads across the majority of the Endless Plains. It's shaped by a fast-moving river, and bioluminescent worms light the ceiling. Not much life resides here, but some Florestrials choose to use this cavern as refuge from other Florestrials and wyverns.

Volcano Valley is a range of volcanic mountains. The active volcanos that reside there are always running a slow flow of magma, creating rivers in the land. Smog clouds the horizon and supervolcanos occasionally fire off, causing huge plumes of smoke to cover the range. Wildfires are also frequent here. The smoke from the volcanos travel west over the ocean and contribute to dust bowls in the Droughtlands.
