Shrines

Shrines are locations in Narathura where dragons can visit to leave offerings to the deities of the land. Visiting a shrine and submitting an offering is one way to interact with the other world, and possibly get rewarded (or punished). Leaving “good” offerings may get you something you want, or it may leave you empty-taloned. Leaving something “bad” can have its consequences. Rare items can be earned this way if specific offerings are left at just the right time, and some shrines are only active during corresponding events.

The only limit to what sorts of objects can be left is up to your imagination. Jade coins can also be left, but they will be deducted from your actual balance.

You (or a Narathura OC) can increase your chances of earning better gifts from the gods by choosing a patron/matron deity. This will not only raise the chance of getting what you ask for, but also extra gifts and possible aid during roleplays. You can choose a deity by calling for them three separate times when consulting a shrine, leaving offerings with symbolic connections to them, and drawing/writing your character leaving the offering or interacting with the deity in some way (If you don’t have a Narathura OC, any WoF OC will work).

If you would like to have the same deity connected to you in general or every Narathura OC, it is not necessary to name a specific OC when leaving offerings. If you would like a specific OC to be connected to a deity, or multiple OCs serving different spirits, then their names should be mentioned in the offering. You can find each gods’ preferred shrine and symbolic items or sigils in the myths and legends document.
