Body Types

B-classic.png

Classic Purrcerins are the most common form of Purrcerin. They have fine short hair that grows evenly across their entire body. Sometimes more fur may form around the face, but not enough that it could be mistaken for a Longhaired or Nekomata Purrcerin. Sometimes they may even come hairless.

  • No ear tufts
  • Tip of the tail strands are cut straight and neat
  • Silk-like texture
  • Can grow some extra tuft on face or down the spine (mowhawk style)

B-_longhair.png

Longhair Purrcerins don't differ too much from the Classic, except for the fact their hair is much longer and much more dense. Their fur can grow from slightly longer than normal to floor length.

  • Hair can grow up to floor length
  • A fine line of fur protects the inside of the ears
  • Tip of the tail strands are a bit longer and a tad unruly
  • Need a lot of maintenance

b-_maned.png

Maned body types can be a tad bulkier than the other two forms, but their most prominent feature is the hair that grows around their neck and head - much like that of a lion's. It is the only part of the body that grows an extensive amount of fur. The mane can travel a bit down the spine, but not by much. It varies from smooth and silky to wild and curly. They are a rare occurance.

  • The mane MUST be a different color from the body, even if by a few shades lighter or darker.
  • Tip of the tail strands match the texture of their mane
  • Body fur must remain short
  • Can have bigger than normal front and back paws

b-_nekomata.png

Nekomata Purrcerins are the rarest, with very few in existence compared to the other three. They have an abundance of spiritual energy, and it takes form in the shape of whisps that float around the body at all times. To have a Nekomata watch over you is a sign of very good fortune! The age, or amount of time a Nekomata has been around, can be measured by how many whisps they have around them. They start with 2, but the max can reach up to 10 after at least 1000 years.

  • MUST have tufts on cheeks, ankles, and on the inside of the ears with a swirl like pattern.
  • Cannot have less than TWO whisps
  • Always has two tails, the tip ending in a swirl
  • Hair is short and silky, but can develope a mowhawk like trail down the back of their spine.

Other Traits

Tail Type

tail_traits.png

There are three types of forms the tails of a Purrcerin can take. The classic is striped all the way down, consisting of two colors, no more no less.

Tails that consist of three colored stripes are not as common, but can be seen in quite a few purrcerin.

The third tail type is very special, made of a silken fabric instead of rope like the first two. It is unique in that it can be styled in many different ways, from braids to intricate bows, etc.

Tail Patterning is rare, and can appear on all three types of base tails, usually seen throughout the length of them.

The tips of the tail are usually tied together in a knot or with a wooden block. Sometimes tassles appear, or they can have ink dripping from the ends!

Bells are an integral Part of their tail anatomy, and while they have a universal round shape, they have been known to alter in visual appearance on occassion.

The most common shape it takes is plain and spherical in shape, but in some cases have more of a cow-bell appearance, however that is more uncommon.

While very rare, sometimes a purrcerin's bell can take a completely unique shape, and even the material can differ from the default metals (bronze/ silver/ gold).

Tail Length

tail_traits2.png
Tail length may indicate the strength of the wish that they were born from, and thus takes shape in the length of their rope tail.

The most common length is equal to the length of the purrcerin's body, though some uncommonly have one shorter than that.

It is considered rare for the Purrcerin's tail to be longer than they are, and can be up to twice as long as their body length.

One Paw

Held Item

Two Paws

Glass Body / Double Item

trait_zou.png
When a Purrcerin is dormant, it takes the form of a small, porcelain statue (or Zou Form) that reflects its appearance, usually with one paw raised, but some have been known to display unique traits, like held items. Double items and glass form are the rarest forms they can take, and are hardly ever seen.

Items held vary from purrcy to purrcy, and the contents within glass bottle forms can contain anything so long as it relates to the purrcerin in question.

misc_trairs.png

Some aspects of the appearance of the purrcerin is not dictated by rarity, and are free reign to an extent. The list of traits that can be played with freely are as follows:

  • Eyes (pupil, sclera and so forth)
  • Paw pads/Pronounced claws
  • Ear shape
  • Zou form items/ accessories

Mutations

M-face_head.png

Mutations are a phenomenon amongst purrcies that is yet to be understood but has a variety of appearances and effects on the purrcy themselves. Mutations that occur around the head come in the forms of horns, or a third eye nestled in the middle of their forehead.

  • Horns come in a variety of shapes and sizes
  • Horns also come in any known material
  • The third eye cannot form anywhere else except the forehead
  • Third eye can be a different color or similar to the other two

m-_body_tail.png

Mutations that affect the body come in two forms, though take form two different ways. Gem formations can form on the Purrcerin's body, clusters of gems usually form on the extremeties. Gem skin is a variation of this mutation that covers a more solid area of the purrcerin's body and can form anywhere.

Only one tail mutation has been documented thusfar, and it takes form as a solid color, which is impossible outside of this mutation.

  • Gem bond/skin can be any mineral
  • It can only cover up to 30% of the purrcerin's body, but can be placed in multiple areas
  • Solid tail color can be any color
  • Nekomata purrcerins can display two colors, so long as each tail remains one solid color

M-curse.png

While most mutations are relatively harmless and dont cause the purrcerin distress, there are a few that come with a very negative notation, being marked as cursed. Purrcerin's that are surrounded by a mist like substance are considered blighted. This blight can manifest if the purrcerin itself is born from malicious intent.

Broken bells are another mutation that is considered cursed, this can take place during a purrcerin's manifestation or later in life if damaged. Blight can occur on its own, but a broken bell will also ALWAYS lead to blight.

Its also considered cursed if a purrcerin manifests with no bell at all, they are looked at as bad omens and are almost entirely avoided by humans and other purrcerin's alike.

  • Blight smog only presents in dark colors
  • No bell does nothing to physically affect the purrcerin, unlike broken bells.
  • It is VERY hard to break a purrcerin bell, but its irreversable
  • Blight can exist without a broken bell, but a broken bell cannot exist without blight
