Welcome to my Wings of Fire AU! Wings of Fire is a book series written by Tui T. Sutherland - this is just my take on a potential future.

Acrea AU is set hundreds of years after the events of the books, where Pyrrhia and Pantala merged into one nation on the Pyrrhian continent. They lived together for many decades, and hybrids and mutations became increasingly common. War and famine were eradicated thanks to a union of queens from each tribe called the Council of Wings. Their shared mission was to no longer allow prejudice and hate to corrupt the people, which they achieved for a time. But when a massive disaster struck the entire continent, old grudges began to resurface.

The continent shriveled and died, every last trace of life being snuffed out by an event called The Withering. The tribes managed to escape to a new, uncharted continent, seemingly empty and ready to claim. This new land was called Acrea. But now, with tensions running high and tribes beginning to turn on each other in blame, the Council of Wings all but vanished, and the tribes once again went their separate ways. Territories were drawn, and sides were chosen. Although a war has not yet broken out, there is unspoken resentment on all sides.

Caught between are the hybrids, who still linger to this day. Some tribes have become hostile and violent to all halfbreeds, as they call them, such as the NightWings and IceWings. Others have welcomed the exiles with open wings, such as the RainWings and SilkWings. But the new age has brought divisions like never before. Can the tribes stop the coming war before it begins - or will the entire dragon race fall back into an era of bloodshed?
