the world of WINTERBOUND is a vast area with many different biomes. from the eternal freezing weather of the southern woodlands, to the sparkling floating islands of aerion, there are many places to explore. the storyline of WINTERBOUND follows a small group of adventurers on a journey to find the angel’s promise, an artifact spoken of in legend that is said to grant any wish possible.
the woodlands
The Overworld
a once lush forest turned cold by the curse of a vengeful mage, what’s called the eternal snowy plane is home to the strong creatures of the woodlands, who have learned how to adapt to their chilling environment. though the freeze, a powerful source of magic that eternally traps those who come close in ice, has been drawing closer and closer to the towns set up in this area…

aerion
The Nether
high above the clouds, the floating islands of aerion lie in hiding. home to many, the islands are covered in lush forests, glittering lakes, and enormous cities. the animals in aerion have learned how to harness the magic power of the crystals found growing in various areas to power their flying airships. citizens of aerion use these airships to get around and interact with those on the ground, as well as using them to transport materials for trading, so they may obtain certain materials they cannot get in the sky.
