The crystalline city is a mysterious place located in the middle of a glassy sea that is said to be a neutral zone in between different worlds and dimensions; only an experienced sailor would be able to get there.
The city from afar appears as a giant crescent shape with buildings reaching down toward the waters from the upper half (very reminiscent of ATLA's Western Air Temple). Up close, these buildings are rather large in size. Along the surface, there is a rocky landscape seemingly made up of crystals and minerals with various odd fauna and flora thriving.
The crescent shape itself is very glassy in appearance; it reflects light and casts an array of colors. The crescent and the buildings built upon it are adorned in gold, silver, and other valuable minerals and ores from the various worlds it surrounds.

In the surrounding waters of the crystalline city, there are many creatures, both familiar and not of larger-than-life size (hence the size of the shell The Sailor sails in). It is highly advised that no one enter these waters unless on a ship or boat as they are very dangerous. Like Earth, the population in the city is largely uninformed of the mysterious creatures lurking beneath the surface.

Despite the water being nearly crystal clear, the reflections can distort the shape and appearance of the creatures beneath the surface. Oddly enough, the closer one gets to the rocky surface under the crescent, the murkier the water. Murky water is unheard of anywhere else in the glassy sea except for the center where the city resides.
