Aqualma Lore

 Life was once bestowed upon the ocean by two unnamed goddesses in the form of silky pearls. Such pearls came forth to draw upon a lifeforce, creating what now is known as the civilization of the Aqualma (Plural Aqualma). To this day, these are very curious and docile creatures who wander every inch of the ocean, as well as the land's beaches, rivers, and shoals, as well as both salty and fresh. Some blessed with the ability to manipulate magic, and others residing with working off the land. Each are created from pearls by the means of magic since all Aqualma are "born" without any reproductive systems or organs. 

Their universe thrives without the presence of humans. In fact, they never existed and only live in fairytales and imaginations!  

Aqualma Classes

There are two classes of Aqualma; Civilized and Blessed! 

Civilized Aqualma are mostly commonly seen as common-folk, villagers, or low-class workers. Rarely, do they ever acquire the use of magic unless it's illegally. Their stature is more close to that of a human's. They are most commonly seen with an upright, plantigrade posture, snouted face, and the usual Aqualma traits. Aqualma body types come in all shapes and sizes, but tend to accommodate to where they live! For example, an Aqualma who lives near the fast waters of a river may be more lean and agile then one who lives near a swamp where they may need to be more slow but sufficient in camouflage. 

Blessed Aqualma are seen as divine and above the common Aqualma class. Much unlike Civilized Aqualma, this variant is small and fairy-like. They live in almost every body of water as well, but are most commonly found in oceans where main civilizations thrive, and rarely are seen on their own.
