𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘼𝙍𝘾𝘼𝙉𝙀 𝙁𝙄𝙀𝙇𝘿

The Arcane Field refers to the energy field that allows people to perform magic on Aeon. All magic is done via drawing energy from the field and bending it to your will. Certain beings have a stronger attunement to it than others, allowing them to use more of the energy and perform more powerful magic. By default, non-immortal-or-demigod beings here can only use about 33% of the energy a Demigod can. Unfortunately, that serves as a hardwired nerf, and no matter how much someone studies and practices magic they will be unable to pass that threshold. Only exception being specific species that naturally have higher magic capacities. Curiously, it seems that due to the world's incredibly specific form of magic, people from outside worlds become entirely powerless here. Since the Arcane Field requires an innate connection to the Arcane, it cannot be used by those without it. Nor are outsiders able to utilize their magic's energy on a world which doesn't have it.

𝙂𝙊𝘿𝙎, 𝘿𝙀𝙈𝙄𝙂𝙊𝘿𝙎, & 𝙄𝙈𝙈𝙊𝙍𝙏𝘼𝙇𝙎

GODS: Aeon has two gods, The God (Animus) and The Goddess (Anima). They go by many other names depending on the location or culture, but they are two omnipotent beings that are present throughout their entire respective sections of the arcane field at all times. They themselves create, maintain, and control the energy - The energy being primarily the leftover energy from their original body when they were once a single being. The God lives in and maintains the Surface's arcane field, The Goddess lives in and maintains the Underworld's arcane field.

DEMIGODS: Demigods are arcane beings created by Animus or Anima to fulfill certain divine purposes in the physical world for them. They have unlimited access to arcane energy, and are the most powerful magical beings across the entirety of Aeon. The only limit to their magic is that each demigod has a "type", a magical alignment related to their creator. They will primarily fall into one, and have full mastery over that type - But they can still use the other, at a lower capacity. The types are: Life, Sun (The God), Death, Moon (The Goddess).

IMMORTALS: Immortals are lesser arcane beings. All start out their first life as regular people, but Demigods have the capacity to grant anybody an immortal soul if they wish. Typically Immortals are disciples of a Demigod, or their consorts (basically a divine spouse). But those aren't the only two ways to become an Immortal, as Demigods can designate someone as one for any reason they please. Immortals can still physically die, but they can't spiritually die. When their physical body dies, the soul will find a new host - Starting over with a whole new set of memories and all that, but the Demigod can ensure that certain information gets carried on through every life the Immortal has. Such as never being able to forget their purpose. By default, Immortals can only use about 66% of the energy a Demigod can.
