Skyray TOS

Skyray are a semi-closed species:This means the species has seasonal myo events that gives everyone the chance to get a Skyray or more for free without having to purchase them.
You can create a Skyray inspired by a movie, tv show, anime, manga, video game:Inspiration is okay, however a full on copy is not!
Instead of calling them myo tickets this species calls myo slots, Lightsprites. In lore Skyray are born from Lightsprites. If you have a Lightsprite you can make a Skyray so that means Lightsprites are the key to making a Skyray. Lightsprites are given out for free during Starfall Ceremonies.
Skyray are born genderless and do NOT have reproductive organs, however don't let that stop you from giving your Skyray a gender identity.

MYO (Make Your Own) = Lightsprite
Lightsprites do not expire.
Lightsprites received from Starfall Ceremonies can NOT be resold for real currency.
Lightsprites that were purchased with real currency can NOT be resold for more than the sale value. Lightsprites currently only cost $5 and can not be sold for more money.
Lightsprites can be bought with USD or Sand Dollars (world currency). Lightsprites bought with USD can only be resold for the sale value price or lower. Lightsprites bought with Sand Dollars cannot be sold for real currency. They can only be gifted,traded or sold for Sand Dollars.
First time affiliates and Staff will receive a FREE Lightsprite with the acceptation of any trait.
Lightsprites count towards the masterlist so please do NOT make a Lightsprite's profile hidden from staff members.
You are free to redesign a Skyray made by yourself, however if you wish to redesign an official design please ask permission beforehand.
If you wish to completely redsign an official design we offer Lightsprites in exchange for the original design so that design doesn't go unloved.

Each official design that is sold has a sales value. This means that design was sold at that price and can NOT be resold for more unless art is added to the value. Raffle designs can NOT be resold at all unless art is added. Skyray made from Lightsprites may be valued differently depending on the artist/owner.
The value of a Skyray can be increased by adding on the price of any artwork you have commissioned or gained from another artist. However, the price increase worth is up to the person who owns that Skyray! Official Skyray adopts have a sale value and that sale value is how much they were purchased for; however, you cannot resell official Skyray adopts for more than its sale value unless art has been added.
Any Skyray can be traded or gifted, unless stated otherwise. Skyray may be traded for other Skyray, characters of other closed species, merchandise and physical items, etc. We do not have set rules on trading or gifting.

Since Skyray are a semi-closed species you can NOT create Skyray and sell them without a Lightsprite first.
No guilt tripping, whining, or complaining about the Skyray Species. Do not beg, guilt, or harass people to try and gain Lightsprites or Skyray adopts.
No harassing another user to sell or trade their Skyray to you when it is not explicitly put up for sale or trade offers.
No creating off-brand adopts of the Skyray species to sell without permission or copying an existing Skyray's design & selling it as a Skyray or as a different species.
Please do not bid on official adopts unless you can pay. Deleting your bid before the auction deadline is fine but ghosting after winning the auction will earn you a warning. Repetitive behavior will result in a blacklist from entering future auctions.
Please respect individual staff and guest artist’s TOS.
We cannot control what you do with your Skyray after purchasing but if you plan to redesign them, we encourage that you contact the artist for permission.

Users who void their own Skyray designs are not required to give a reason, but they are required to go through the voiding rules.
We encourage that you change the OC to no longer look like a Skyray. For example: Removal of wings, Adding arms with hands/paws, Adding paws to wings, Adding ears, Removal of antennae, changing of tail. Basically anything that makes the OC no longer resemble a Skyray, however you are required the removal of the flame symbol as that is a key feature that is unique to the Skyray species. If you really like the idea of the light symbol you are free to make-up your own symbol and make-up your own magic for the symbol, however please reframe from calling it a flame and try a different name like halo, crown, etc.
Voided designs will be kept in the ML for reference, but noted as voided.
