Physical Appearance

• Short light green hair
• Green eyes
• Fair skinned with a somewhat pale complexion

Clothing Style

Kesaria typically wore the typical garb of the western forest royal guards, which consisted of dark brown body armor with dark green and golden metal guards/gauntlets/etc. However, since going on the run she wears a lighter weight outfit, both out of necessity while traveling and also because she was not on duty during the attack that forced her to flee, so she did not have her normal armor with her at the time.

Her normal outfit now consists of a sleeveless brown dress with slits at each hip, matching brown stockings and long gloves, and simple leather boots. Gold colored cloth rings are around the tops of her stockings, boots, and gloves, and also around her wrists like bracelets and her neck like a scarf. The gold sections have elvish calligraphy adorning them. She also has a brown cloak with similar gold trim along the edges and around the head, which she frequently wears while traveling. She also has a brown and white mask that she wears at all times when traveling. Tradition has it that these masks must be worn when addressing non-elves, so she doesn't remove it unless she is in a safe place alone.

Personality

Kesaria is a responsible and focused royal guard for the Kingdom of the Western Forest. Although Kesaria is a friendly and compassionate person, she is very disciplined and firm with her boundaries, and she is certainly no pushover with anyone and only takes orders from her superiors or people she respects. She always maintains a mature and collected demeanor, but she is also optimistic, confident, and is very easy to approach and talk to when she's not on duty. Kesaria is a very fair person and a good listener, but she can be a bit overprotective toward people she feels are weaker or more vulnerable than her. As a royal guard, she is charged with protecting the royal family, particularly Caltharsis when he becomes the last remaining member. The two of them have known each other since they were children, so they have an older sister/younger brother relationship of sorts. Kesaria would do anything to protect him, and she becomes very aggressive when something threatens him. She in general is very tense when Caltharsis is interacting with non-elves or people she does not trust, and she'd ready and capable of killing anyone that tries anything around him on a hairline trigger.

• Mistrusting of/slow to trust non-elves and rather remorseless when confronting them
• Overprotective of Caltharsis and has a hard time loosening up when he's interacting with anyone she deems untrustworthy
• Stubborn, a little bossy, and hard to persuade
• Very averse to using lies or betrayal, and she'll always pick a much more dangerous option over deceit if needed

Backstory

Kesaria was born and raised in the capital of the Western Forest Kingdom of elves. Since her parents were considered nobility and had the royal family's favor, she often spent time around or in the palace while they visited for various reasons, learning what she could from their libraries or observing the numerous sages and soldiers there. She befriended the young prince, Caltharsis, early on, and the two have been close friends ever since. Although Kesaria could've selected a more prestigious occupation given the opportunities open to her for her social rank, she opted to undergo training in combat and with various weapons to become a warrior of the kingdom. She gradually grew to become one of the most skilled and respected soldiers the palace had, and she was appointed as one of the elite royal guards, specifically to protect Caltharsis. Following an attack that resulted in the death of the king, Kesaria become even more protective of her friend as he ascended the throne. Security became tighter around the capital, and she tended to whip the other guards into shape if she ever caught them slacking. After some time, the kingdom settled back into general peace under the new rule for years.

However, the peace was shattered by a devastating invasion by the humans. Since their past attacks they've built themselves into an empire with unprecedented technology and weaponry, and the forest kingdom fell under their occupation, leaving the majority of the elven population slain or enslaved. Thanks to Kesaria's efforts, Caltharsis along with his pupil, Marlex, managed to escape capture. Her whereabouts are currently unknown to them.
