Janara

• Either color palette is fine! She changes color depending on her enviornment. Cool colors for cool temperatures, Warm colors for warm temperatures. ~80 degrees (F) is when it switches

Janara is a gentle and softspoken individual with a skittish personality, almost always afraid of being harmed or attacked by those around her. She's an absolute pacifist with no violent bone in her body or anger to be turned towards others. 

She spent the younger part of her life hunted for her powerful water abilities- and as such learned to keep company only with those trusted few she could rely on not to try and use her abilities for their own gain, or who truly sought her for herself instead. She is easily wounded, and her confidence in herself is as fragile as brittle ice, shattered by the smallest thing. Her belief in herself is something far too easily taken, and something she struggles long periods to try and regain. She relies on her partner strongly to defend her when she's feeling too weak to defend herself; and looks to Kasdeya as a confidant and protector when she needs one the most. 

She was born in a temple of water pokemon where she was taught to use her abilities to heal the water and 'speak' to it in a way- excelling in all of these, she was easily able to understand and feel united with the realm of the sea and its subtleties. She lived happily- skittish though not in any danger for most of her youth, until bad humans came and took over the temple; seeing it as a good outlet to use the pokemon there for their own nefarious purposes.

Taking to the river, Janara fled. Being a faster swimmer than her peers- she was the only one who escaped. Battered, upset, and fragile, she started her journey to search for a new life, a new fear of humanity in her heart at the betrayal she felt.

She eventually meets Kasdeya when down on her luck, and finds someone who can help her to feel strong again.
