Daphne is a notorious groupie, one of the big-names in the mid-to-late 1960's California counterculture scene. She'll act sweet and pleasant to someone's face, like a picture-perfect hippie goddess, but underneath her charming façade is a devious, manipulative femme fatale. She absolutely loves rock music, and believes that artists—especially musicians—are endowed with a divine gift.

Even though she could go on and on about the need for things like world peace and kind, creative souls, and she does sincerely believe in it, she can get quite nasty towards others. Daphne oozes sex, drugs, and rock n' roll; but she's not too keen on some of the harder illicit substances. She's seen what it can do to people.

Despite her dominant, "carnivore girl" personality, Daphne's the furthest thing from a true feminist. She's vicious towards other women if they try to go after the same musician she likes, and if she convinces some guy to break up with one of his steady groupies for her, she calls that a "successful conquest". However, she considers men with serious girlfriends/fiancés/wives off-limits. Perhaps she's not all bad?

Towards her romantic and sexual competition, she can get absolutely brutal; especially for such a seemingly mild-mannered woman. Understandably, he doesn't have many female friends, but she considers the few who are willing to stick with her (read: those who don't rock the boat) akin to sisters or daughters—she'd go so far as to give her life for them.

Daphne claims she likes to make love, but doesn't exactly fall in love... but she does. She may dote on her beau-of-the-month more like a mother or older sister would, instead of a girlfriend, but she has a terrible habit of devoting herself entirely to him. She'll take care of cooking and cleaning, chase off his fangirls, and follow him around everywhere. She'll practically smother him with affection, even if it drives him up the wall.

At the same time, Daphne tends to cheat if she feels like there's no spark between her and her steady; and she's also not above screwing with the other members of his band if she thinks he's wronged her. Sitting down and talking about relationship problems with your partner? She's never heard of that!

Unbeknownst to most people within Daphne's sphere, except for her closest groupie friends, she works as a rather prolific 'zine writer under the pseudonym "Mac Daniels". This isn't the only pen name she uses for her journalism endeavors, but it is her most well-known. Daphne uses her sweet face and good looks to infiltrate bands, and while she's among them, she gets an inside scoop of the members' personal secrets, plans for future albums, and all sorts of juicy bits like that. If she 'accidentally' hooks up with one of the members while going undercover, that's even better!

She'll then compile and publish this top-secret insider information in an article penned by "Mac Daniels", and the band's left none the wiser as to who this "Mac" guy was, and when, why, and how the hell "he" wound up getting involved in so much of their drama. Of course—if you remember the 1960's, you weren't there!

Daphne's never talked about this one other secret aspect of her life to anyone, not even with some of her most intimate "conquests", but she has conflicted emotions over her mother. She's been estranged from her for years, and feels as if it was her single mother's inability to hold down a stable relationship—and subsequently, being the target of her mother's frustrations—that culminated in making Daphne the selfish, messed-up person she is today. She still misses her mom, but the thought of becoming someone just like her makes Daphne hesitate. . .

• Daphne's appearance and level of intimacy with famous rock stars are inspired by Pamela Des Barres & the "GTO" groupies.
• But she's nowhere near as genuinely nice, naive, and trusting as Miss Pamela was.
• Ringo Starr is her favorite Beatle, but she's never been able to "get to know" him. 
• She's a bit of an Anglophile. She adores people with British accents, whether they're men or women.
• She smells like patchouli. 
• Daphne can be transposed to a modern (ex. 2010's) setting. She'd be one of those women who won't shut up about how "classic rock is better than any of today's bands" and is constantly dressed like she's on her way to Coachella.
