Mires

Mires (pronounced Meer-iz) is completely unhappy with their life, and can't imagine living a fulfilling existence within the confines of the universe they live in.  On an atomic level this world is inherently unsatisfying.  They have no aspirations because there is nothing worth aspiring to.  Why would they work to be the best at something if magic isn't a thing they can pursue?  What joy would there be in being a billionaire when there is no true adventure or destiny?

In this dull and pointless world, Mires lives for escapism.  They only find peace in devouring fiction after fiction, devoting their every waking hour to catching glimpses of a life worth living.

Their current obsession: Magience.  They were hesitant to pick it up after hearing how realistic it was(since reality is bad).  But after trying it out they were hooked immediately and spend more hours in the game than they do conscious.  

They love the nature that they don't have access to otherwise, they love the world that is antithesis to their outside life, and most of all they love their wings and flying and feeling free and happy for the first time in as long as they can remember.

Personality

Honestly an edgelord who is disgusted by(aka jealous of) people who are happy.  Doesn't understand how someone could be genuinely excited to pursue a career and have a family and love their friends, and is totally incapable of live-and-let-live.  But at the same time they're incapable of having a mature conversation(not to mention uninterested in learning other perspectives), and they vent their frustration mostly with violence, or arson, or just catty remarks, anything ANYTHING to make someone else as miserable as they are show people the error of their ways.

Hates righteousness as a trait in other people but revels in their pettiness.  Sarcastic & Dramatic & likes to think they're hard to piss off but really there's an undercurrent of mad under everything they do.

Also likes to think they're above the human need to socialize, but if that were true they'd have fucked off into the woods to live in peaceful seclusion just gardening and flying around in the fresh air & sunlight instead of seeking out human contact(even if it is in the form of trolling & straight-up-serial-killing).

That said they are perfectly capable of being a helpful & affable civilized member of society.  Usually only happens when they want something(to shorten incarceration, or trick you into letting your guard down, etc), but it happens.

In Real Life: they keep to themselves, either rush to get their obligations done or just ignore them completely, lock themselves in their room to play the game(skip class to play the game).  Not a serial killer, not a fight-picker, goes days at a time without talking to anyone.  Gettin double-teamed by teenage angst and undiagnosed depression. Becomes more out-of-touch with reality every day and recently broke their leg jumping off a ledge because they forgot they can't fly here (this was, kind of, perceived as a suicide attempt and that's making shit weird for them)(The entire situation is a misunderstanding that they are embarrassed to explain, but also they aren't Not Suicidal, so)

• Bird Eyes [Ayviah Trait: Like many birds, their visible light spectrum extends into the ultraviolet.  aka they can see colors that humans can't perceive.  But they are colorblind irl, so they have NO IDEA that their new color vision has extra new colors. ]
