As a then-shy and mild man crawling from an emotionally toxic and dysfunctional cradle, tripping into a nightmare he has pushed into the furthest recesses of his memory, and stumbling into the world of money, Nana Hoshino would be at the bottom of everyone's guesses as to who would stand at the forefront of humanity's fight for freedom from the fascist aliens from outerspace. Everyone expected Nana to succeed, but not like this. Perhaps succeed financially, succeed reproductively, succeed as an ordinary adult who would never understand true happiness or fulfillment. And yet, an anomaly, Captain Hoshino is here.

... What was that?

A natural leader perfectly in his element, Captain Hoshino brings a certain empathy and kindness to the Red Cloaks. He's certainly likely to pull you aside, if you seem to be having a hard time lately, and offer to lend your troubles an ear - rather than simply tell you to suck it up and keep moving. However, those who abuse power or harm others are not people he can be so gentle and tolerant of. He also seems to have a hidden darkness in himself as well, so maybe that's how he always seems to know if someone is struggling...

Do you see it? There, in the ruins of where that cabin once stood... It's staring from the embers.
