【Origin】 Desiderium- Chinchilla Kingdom
【Birthday】 content

【Alias】 Bo-ra, Boring [by Haruka]

【Orientation】 Homoromantic/demisexual
【Ethnicity】 Korean
【Theme】 Touch

A vain, competitive, condescending chinchilla princess who considers herself Haruka's rival.

Coming from an extremely rich family (royalty, of course) Bo-ra is used to getting what she wants, when she wants it. She thinks humans are disgusting, but is jealous of Haruka's success in the human world and wishes to have it too. She possesses a magical amulet which lets her take the form of a human for 5 hours at a time, once per day. Despite these personality shortcomings, Bo-ra gets flustered extremely easily around people she has crushes on, her pale fur showing her embarrassment unfortunately well. Her closest friend is Hickory, the squirrel prince. She's in a relationship with Kamiko, a similarly sour rabbit who dreams of becoming a princess.

Personality

4513559_JukyNgKoiQVk6Me.png

Bo-ra is as condescending as they come. The princess and only child of an extremely rich kingdom, she is used to life being served to her on a silver platter. She is entitled, demanding, and quite greedy, usually saving the best things in life for herself alone. She is not completely without compassion, but her icy hot exterior usually makes her come across uncaring.

She has a mean sense of humour, laughing at people falling or getting hurt. Usually she is extremely lazy, refusing to clean up her own messes and having others do it for her. Bo-ra is insanely competitive and cannot stand when someone else is doing better than her, at anything really. She's easily embarrassed by cute girls sweet talking her and will yell at them to stop, usually accompanied by covering her face. Around friends she is a bit prickly, but genuinely enjoys their company.

Summary

Bo-ra was born into royalty. The only daughter of the king and queen of the Chinchilla Kingdom, she was spoiled rotten from birth. Her parents were collectors of fine artifacts, many magical or cursed, and they would use their powerful arsenal to threaten their people into compliance. The kingdom would bend to her every whim, to the point that by the time Bo-ra had turned 9, over a third of the gigantic castle was devoted to her, decorated and rebuilt to match her fantasies. She never had to wait long for anything, as her team of twenty servants would be there as soon as she rang, heads bowed as not to meet her eyes. She was quite destructive in her younger years, destroying family heirlooms, paintings, fine china, you name it. After destroying her mother's glass rose, the king and queen decided that it would be in her best interest to teach her proper manners. They enlisted only the very best tutors to teach her how to be a real princess, and blossom she did.

Through a rigorous and strict schedule and with the help of her childhood friend Hickory, she learned to play piano, dance, solve arithmetic, and sing so sweetly that it could make doves shed tears.

Of course, this did not mean the end to her tyranny, as her parents still lavished her in gifts and fine dresses, whispering into her velvet soft ears that she was the prettiest, most amazing princess that the world had ever seen. And then came Haruka. From the moment they met at the Noble's Ball that her parents hosted annually, Bo-ra instantly hated her. The shiba princess seemed unimpressed by the ritzy, exuberant decorations that lined the huge halls of the castle that she called home. She did not bat an amethyst eye at the first-class entertainment, nor take notice of the heaps of gifts piled at the foot of the marble staircase. In fact, the only thing that seemed to pique the princess' interest was the lavish spread of food and snacks in the main hall, prepared by Bo-ra's personal chefs, of course. The chinchilla felt her face scrunch up in annoyance and her little white gloved paws balled up into fists. With purpose in her step, she hurried over to where Haruka was standing, nearly knocking over a crystal bowl of punch in her hurry.

"Hey!" Bo-ra growled, crossing her arms across her chest. "Why aren't you... mingling?" She finished, seemingly stuck on finding the right word.

"Mingling?" The raven haired princess popped another cherry into her mouth, chewing as she appeared to think. "Because I don't find this... interesting." She paused as if to mock the shorter girl in front of her, ears twitching mischievously.

"Not interesting?!" Bo-ra huffed, smoothing her skirt. "Are you out of your mind?! Look!" she pointed towards the stacks of gifts, run rampant with other little princes and princesses taking advantage of the spoils. "You can get some really cool trinkets over there." With a smug look, she glared up at Haruka, fuming. "My daddy and mommy collect cool things."

"Not really interesting." Haruka said, helping herself to another cherry.

"The live dancers?"

"Not interested."

"T-the balloon pit???"

"Nope!"

Bo-ra was ready to tear her ears out with rage. Never before had someone paid so little attention to her and her home, and she didn't like it one bit. "Well, I have a room

that changes colours depending on my mood.

"Isn't that what we have expressions for?"

This sort of banter continued the year after that, and every subsequent year to come.

Present Day

Ruby eyes scanned the marble ballroom, desperately seeking the telltale raven locks and stubby ears that she had come to grow accustomed to.

"Father."

The chinchilla tugged at her dad's sleeve, commanding his attention.

"Yes, dearest?"

"Where is the shiba girl? The one with purple eyes."

"Something about summoning a demon or whatnot, darling. I don't know."

Word had gotten around that Haruka had gone to the human world and had become a wildly successful idol, apparently. Bo-ra felt her face scrunch up as it had the first time she had laid eyes on the shiba girl. "Her? An idol? I'm way better than her!" Still tiny paws pounded on the plush bed in frustration as her parents grew frantic, trying ever effort to console her.

"Father!" Red eyes puffy with tears turned towards her dad, who sat up immediately, nervous.

"Yes, pumpkin?"

"I want to be an idol, too. And I want to be better than that stupid dog!

The princess' anger was inconsolable. Dishes were thrown against the wall. Teacups were shattered. Stuffed animals ripped to shreds. It was no difficult feat to tell that Bo-ra was angry, and the mood in the castle was dark. Finally, after narrowly dodging a book to the head, her parents entered her room with a shiny red bauble, glimmering in the light. This, they said, would allow her to take a human form. She could appear however she liked, but only for five hours a day. Gravely, they warned her not to go over the time limit, or else she wouldn't be able to return to her natural form or return home. Using a magical mirror, they located the elusive shiba princess and sent their daughter on her way. Before she left she told Hickory, who pleaded with her not to go. He confronted her parents, imploring them to let him go, too. It didn't take much begging. It didn't take long for Bo-Ra to spot him, but rather than being angry, she plainly told him to help her ruin Haruka.

Although Bo-ra would never admit it to herself or anyone else, what started off as a quest to ruin Haruka's career developed into some sort of friendship- Bo-ra is always invited and although she makes a fuss, she's always there, Hickory in tow.

Relationships

Haruka [ rival ]

Bo-ra would like to consider Haruka her ultimate rival. Although Bo-ra often grumps and groans at the shiba girl, she does care for Haruka quite a bit. She enjoys her company although she would never admit it. They often hang out together just like any friends would do. Bo-ra admires Haruka, though she denies it profusely.

Chiyoko [ friend ]

Bo-ra often intimidates the small rabbit by yelling at her or grumping at her. She's sometimes jealous of Chiyoko's close relationship with Haruka. Despite this, they often hang out with Haruka together, and sometimes (rarely) without her present.

Hickory [ Best Friend ]

Prince of the squirrels, this soft spoken, charming, and intelligent prince keeps Bo-Ra in check. He served almost as her guardian, keeping her out of too much trouble. Bo-Ra genuinely appreciates him, though she doesn't always show it.
