📚 A LITTLE STORY 📚
Kage is a demon of the Underworld. In other words, he doesn't have a soul. Because of this, he doesn't have a way of being reincarnated onto Earth, something that all beings generally wish for. He'd probably be fine getting used to life in limbo...if his family weren't made of elites for the biggest criminal organization around. Their job is to reap souls on their way to being reincarnated (or tricking humans into dying so they can then reap their soul) so that way they can give them to demons to be reincarnated. For the right price, of course. Kage does not find this job pleasing, but will follow orders in hopes that maybe he can reincarnate and just leave all of this behind. His older brother, who Kage especially hates, tasks him to get the soul of a girl who's soul would be worth a high price tag (Mana). Begrudgingly, Kage goes to do so but is swayed by her character and kindness. But instead of moving on from his job, he kinda...accidentally traps her whole physical form in the Underworld. Including her soul. So now he, and his partner Arell, are on a journey to help Mana escape from the world after death before she becomes part of it herself.
