[NOTE: They are non-binary but this is something I only figured out about them as well as myself just recently, so rewriting everything to adjust to neutral pronouns isn't something I'm up for, though like me, Vangoat isn't picky about pronouns. They/Them is preferred, but due to over 3 years of being male, things are a bit tough to tell, do not worry if you get tripped up, as long as you mean well that's what counts here~]

A simple goat, hailing from a small town. He was born with a twin sister, Victoria. She was born a few minutes after Vincent, a fact she uses to get her way with him. They grew up pretty typically. They were not the type of twins who'd shut out everyone else, but they were still close. Around their 24th birthday, she moved away. At the time, he didn't understand why she did, but support her all the same.

Though when he turned 25 he really felt he needed to get out of his small town that had no future, so he moved to Irhynam. The move was going well, he set up in his apartment, and things were looking ready to improve. Though, this would soon end up rather badly. On a nice night in town, he took a walk. Seeing someone getting mugged, he figured he'd step in and help. But he wasn't thinking about how a big city has much more crime than his hometown. The mugger turned, stabbing him for interfering. This of course scared the attacker who ran off, without taking anything from the victim, but they were also afraid and fled without calling for help. He bled out in a short time.

It wasn't all for naught, as his spirit held onto the mortal realm. This would usually not really help one much, but his case was different. Naoko, a wolf in the city who has the power to sense spirits noticed one being released, yet lingering on. Calling to her ghost friend, Violette, to come with her and calm the spirit, they rush to the street, seeing the ghost of Vincent sitting there. Violette was quick to talk to him, assuring him it was fine, and she would help him. Naoko reassured him, mentioning how she became the kind of spirit who is bound to the world. He knew right away that's what he wanted. Violette, who was quick to like Vangoat, placed in a favor with Valeria, the tigress who made Violette who she is. The Tigress made her way hastily along to the street, as they carried his body down to a small townhouse, where Valeria sometimes lived. Through a teleportation network, they brought his body and spirit to her castle, and he underwent the binding ritual. Vangoat was reborn.

Violette wasted no time showing him the town and her friends. He met all his current friends with Violette at his side, including a few he knew from online. It was also during this he was set up with a gig managing La Vie en Rose's internet sites. It pays well, and he also lends a hand at the shop. Being a ghost is something that he took well, though not as amazingly as his best friend Violette took to it.

Vangoat was always rather carefree, wanting a good time. He is a big fan of Tokusatsu shows like Kamen Rider and Super Sentai. He still proudly mantains his collections from his mortal life, taking up odd jobs, and later a site managing gig, to fund the goods and his apartment. His landlord didn't seem phased to the idea of a ghost tenant, as Vangoat did sign the lease and all while he was alive, and he still pays so the landlord lets him stay. Though he later moved into a bigger apartment with Violette and Naoko.

He loves food, even in death. It's easier on his wallet, though not as much as one would think. He simply only buys and eats his favorites when out with friends, or just hanging out with Violette, which is pretty often. He's also quite skilled in illusions, having taking a real liking to them ever since he became a spirit. One of his favorites is taking forms of various Riders and Sentai rangers' suits, which sure beats buying replicas of them, and saves him a lot of money. He also has been known to step in when he sees a crime in progress. He might not ever get a chance to stop the one who killed him, but he can often use illusions to disarm a situation without any violence. Sure, it's quite different from his heroes methods, but it's safer for the people he helps out. And well, he's not fighting evil monsterous things.

He's also made quite a few more friends after his death. Ghost is one of these friends, and they met at a music shop in Irhynam, run by Claire who was skeptical of this goat at first, but later learned he was a great dude who cares about Violette. She's helping him get past some stage fright while singing, which oddly enough does not bother him in karaoke, just other performances. He works at Claire's shop and manages her internet sites for the store and the band Claire fronts, La Vie en Rose. He has even taken up the Keyboard and Bass while hanging out and working there. He has been at them for about 6 months, however with his ability to be awake without ever needing sleep, he gets a lot of time to practice. Keyboards always had his attention, but it was seeing Ghost and Gardenia on the bass that inspired him to go for it as well. Plus, he could always jam with Violette as well!

Recently, he's formed a band with his friends Valencia and Violette. He sings, and often provides his keyboard skills. He will sometimes take up the bass. But that's less frequent after another two fellow ghosts joined the band. Valentina and Vivienne. He and Vivienne trade off singing, or will both sing on a song, the two have managed to find quite a harmony between them. The band is called El Dorado after the Seikima II song of the same name, and thus indirectly based off of the legend itself.

About a year after he died, Victoria moved to Irhynam, knowing only he was living there. She didn't quite learn he had died yet, but it didn't take her long to figure out what'd be usual hangouts for her brother, and they reconnected. Surprisingly, she wasn't too beat up abut it. It definitely hit her for a moment, but seeing him essentially in perfect health, and having made a life for himself in death had calmed her. They occasionally hang out after having reconnected.

Recently, Valeria and Machina have been discussing the mix of magic and technology. Valeria had a leading idea, though it would be potentially an ethical issue. But, Vangoat offered himself. The idea is enhancing his body, allowing his ghost form to take advantage of magic and technology, giving him some new abilities. He only needed to hear the word Cyborg, and he was gladly working with the duo. This was to further magic and technology, but he saw it was a great chance for himself. Now he can shapeshift as part of the magic, through enchanted cybernetics. This also allows him to make use of technology such as cybernetics, and transforming into various forms of the heroes he enjoys. No longer just as an illusion. One form he takes through the shapeshifting is a human form. He is much the same, but just a human. He always was curious how it'd be to be one, so he figured he'd make it one of his main forms. Other than that, he just has a blast with the technology Machina lends him for his transforming side of things. This however does lessen his ability to be in his spirit form, while he can maintain it enough to phase through a wall, he cannot hold it forever. He still maintains his floating abilities, and would enjoy his defense from physical attacks, while still being open to spirit based ones. All a trade he gladly made!

Shapeshifting is not perfect, he can only change his general being, the spell will handle what that looks like. For example, he can become a feral deer, but the details of such a transformation are based on the magitech inside of him. He cannot decide to become a golden stag with massive antlers, if it happens as such, then so be it. But his shapeshifting is limited. Though, in this universe, totally unrestricted shapeshifting is saved for the very Gods who made everything possible, so he got a really good deal. He can adjust things about a transformation, however. Such as how his human form can be more muscled. But nothing major. Fate decides what most of his forms would look like, though they all so far have seemed to still resemble him heavily.

After going out on yet another totally not real date, Vincent and Violette decided to stop kidding themselves, they'd been dating since basically a few weeks after meeting, but would always say they were just friends with benefits. But, eventually a few years down the line, they really just said "Alright, let's just make it so." and thus, they started dating officially, in a polyamorous relationship. They already planned to be together in the future, so they figured why not make that future now, while also being able to be with the others they are interested in?

When (a lack of) life kept going, Vangoat made quite a discovery. After a lot of self reflection, assisted by a few of their various forms they can take, Vangoat really just sat and thought things over, realizing they are Non-Binary. This is a new world for them, but with the group of lovely friends and those they're dating, Vangoat is gonna have a great support network. Their future is looking even better, and it was pretty damn good to begin with.
