GAR
About
Gar is a stoic and passionate druid who revels in her rather intense hyperfixations. Those hyperfixations include, and are limited to: animals that can kill you, plants that can kill you, and turning into animals that can kill you. Gar is fascinated by dangerous creatures that can kill easily but with no real malice, it simply being in their nature, their need for food or to protect themselves or their territory. How animals survive and thrive in an unpredictable world.
Will be deeply offended if you confuse a crocodile with an alligator, but will take the time to try and explain the difference and teach you about each creature. Gar craves a challenge, with a desire to learn. While Gar has no fear towards death or the beasts that can bring it, she has a deep respect for the most powerful of animals and the smallest of deadly plant.

Notes
- Scars all over body don't have to be exact except for the ones on her face.
- Rainbow tint to her black hair.
- Paints her nails somestimes! Either black or purple.
- Clawed feet.
Personality
Once Gar starts talking about her interests, it's very difficult for her to stop. She'll automatically assume everyone is just as invested as she in the topics she speaks about- or at least they should be! Gar was raised in a setting where her fixation with death was never questioned or admonished, only encouraged, so she's quite self-confident and hard to shake. Although this also means she's quite insensitive when it comes to the topic of dying. She's friendly, practical, and straight-forward, with often oversimplified, animal-related, analogies for every situation.
Likes
Crocodiles
Get outta here with that alligator nonsense, crocs are the best. They're bigger, more chonky, they have scarier faces. Did you know they have 5k psi bites? That's the strongest bite of any animal ever. Very Cool.
Deadly Animals
Yes, crocs fall under this umbrella, but they deserved their own category. Gar loves animals that can kill you. If they can't, what's the point of even studying them? Wants to turn into every dangerous creature she lays her eyes on.
Deadly Plants
Deadly plants are fascinating. They just exist and have evolved perfectly to make sure no other creatures dare mess with it. Be it poison straight up that kills you, paralyzes, stings or makes you itch for the rest of your life, Gar is fascinated by it.
Learning
Be it by bring a bit too hands on with a crocodile or learning about how many teeth a hyena has by listening intently to a lecture, Gar loves absorbing more information. She likes feeling powerful both physically and mentally!
Dislikes
Silence
Too much noise can be overwhelming, to be sure, but it's the soft background noise of people and, even more so, animals and nature that bring her comfort. Without that she feels uneasy and restless.
The Cold
Gar loves being tough, and impressive, and intimidating but she's an absolute baby when it comes to the cold. Growing up in swamps, it was never too chilly, and while she might think snow is neat in theory, she hates it.
Boredom
With an entire world out there, full of interesting plants, animals, and even people- there's no reason to be bored for even a second. Gar likes keeping busy, even if it's quite easy to her to find entertainment in simple things like walking through the woods.
Irreverence @ Nature
Sure, Gar is dismissive of death, but signs in resignation seeing irreverence towards nature, it's plants, and deadly animals. If something can kill you so easily, while you should not be afraid of it, you should show it the proper respect.

Abilities
Wild Shape
Gar LOVES this ability, to turn into various animals at will. Her current go-tos being a giant hyena, a boar, a cat and a horse. Would love to use it more casually but knows it's wise to save for combat related stuff.
Primal Savagery
Gar can channel primal magic to cause her teeth or fingernails to sharpen, ready to deliver a corrosive attack. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 acid damage.
Relentless Endurance
When Gar is reduced to 0 HP but not killed, she can drop to 1 HP instead once per long rest. With 18 con and many wildshapes, she prides herself on being the tank of the group.
Summon Beast
Gar can call forth a bestial spirit. It manifests in an unoccupied space within range. This corporeal form uses the Bestial Spirit stat block. When she casts the spell, she can chose if it's land, water, or air.
Summary
Gar grew up surrounded by jungle and swampland, host to a variety of fauna and flora. Gar was always intrigued with the natural world around her, as was her caretaker. Gar grew up in isolation, far from towns and cities, only rarely visiting them for supplies the two could not craft themselves. Her caretaker was a harengon with tattered ears and a wise soul of few words. Always keen on listening to their childs ramblings and held a deep respect for knowledge, constantly encouraging her to find out more about the things she loved. They never dismissed any question or interest she had, no matter how trivial, silly, morbid or long-winded it was.
Past
As a young teen she threw herself into exploring, honing her wildshape to more interesting and powerful creatures. These often took her far from their camp, and would stay away for longer and longer as she gained more skill and independence, quickly collecting scars from her adventures. As the harengon got older she started making trips to villages for supplies to keep the campsite in good shape, beginning to learn more about people, rather than just the countless animals whose teeth count and bite force she had committed to memory. While most were post off by her intrigue with death she never noticed or cared, rather fascinated by the information such a world of people could offer. About animals and nature, of course. Far more she could ever learn on her own.
Strixhaven
When her mentor passed they left Gar all their possessions, the few they had, but the gold- it was enough to do something great with. Gar had heard of strixhaven, a school with wise teachers and a host of subjects Gar would love to learn more about. She had plenty of reason to stay in the swamps she grew up in. The animals, the nature- but she wanted to explore and understand more. She would come back, one day, but first she wanted to see what this college had to offer. Making a few connections and meeting new people would be welcome.

Nisma
Nisma is pretty, capable, cool! That's really cool! Gar really likes that! Suuuure, maybe she's a bit careless around obviously deadly things, but Gar knows the intrigue of similar things!! Really wants to impress Nisma with how strong she is and all the cool animals she knows.
Oggy
Just a funky lad!! Had to back in an inpromptu training fight and he 100% kicked ass. A little nervous, but that's ok! He listens to Gars ramblings and he even has his own... ghost dad warlock patron to offer (what are assumes to be) sage advice! A two in one deal, hells yeah!
