Draimir Aveline

A Dark Knight like his father before him, Draimir is currently employed as Adriel's bodyguard.

Appearance

Draimir is tall, being slightly taller than Verrier.  He is well built and athletic due to his training as a Dark Knight.  His eyes are bright green and he has a pale complexion.  His hair is long and blonde.  A small amount of facial hair can be seen on his chin.  He has thick eyebrows.

Personality

Draimir is reserved at best, and misanthropic at his worst.  He seems to maintain a professional personality when working, talking when prompted to and being polite when he needs to be.  

The same cannot be said of his personal life, or rather, his lack of one.  Antisocial to a fault, Draimir can't stand being around others.  This makes it difficult for him to work in a team, a trait especially required of a knight.  He hates social gatherings, and refuses to attend them whenever possible.  He is awkward when talking to people, and often finds himself sitting in silence, unsure of what to say.  He himself does not feel shy or introverted, just frustrated at his inability to communicate.  He is quick to become irritated and angry when forced into these situations, breaking out into coldness, and the occasional sarcastic jibe.

Despite his poor social skills, Draimir has excelled as a Dark Knight, coming top in many of his classes and though he become a knight outside of wartime, his combat skills impressed his superiors enough to select him for bodyguard duty.  While slightly annoyed at being given what he sees as a lowly, non-demanding role, Draimir takes his duty to protect Adriel very seriously.

Currently, he lives alone in a house he inherited from his parents.  He is known to have had a difficult relationship with his mother before she passed away, and had no contact with his father growing up, only hearing of him from others.  He dislikes discussing them, especially his mother, but at the same time likes to hear tales of his father's exploits.

Trivia

• Draimir strongly dislikes alcohol and will avoid social gatherings entirely because of the probability of it being involved.
• Despite the lack of contact with his father, he seems to respect and look up to him.  This might be a result of projecting his own ideals onto his absent father.
• While he dislikes having to be Adriel's bodyguard, he does not show him any ill will.  In fact, he seems to empathize with him, sharing in the dislike and fear of social situations.
• His mother never told him what happened to his father, so Draimir had to seek the truth out himself.  He did not like what he found.
