Profile
Polar is a guardian who stepped out of the grave and into a battle he doesn't particularly understand or care for. Stoic, reliable, but with an unshakable fear of death, he has little tolerance for carelessness and chooses carefully those he swears his loyalty to.
At the end of the day he just wants to get home safely to more mundane things, to see the fireteam he's apart of happy and content, to tinker with sparrows and watch cartoons on the couch, highly valuing creature comforts.
- Right side is very mangled.
- Repairs consist of a hodgepodge of scrap.
- Dots on forehead are decals-
- While dots around side of head are holes for hearing.
- Has full control of pupil size/brightness.
- Brow is flexible plastic he can emote with.
Armor on ref is kinda mmm yikes I've updated it in-game since then, feel free to go wild with it. You can never add too much fluff to this guys jackets/armor.
Design is very flexible, as long as his face and horns are somewhat accurate and he's buff + tall, yup that's a quality Polar right there!
Changes out of his armor almost as soon as he's off of work, while armor gives him a lot of security, he overheats easily and just enjoys the light and cozy casual wear.
Self-conscious about the damage to his side, is never seen shirtless or wearing anything revealing.

Wary of unknown guardians and fairly reserved on his own, he's nothing but affectionate and loyal to the fireteam he found himself apart of. Patient, observant, gentle, and understanding, he always does his best to be as much of a reassuring presence to them as they are to him. Enjoys following orders and having direction when operating with those he trusts, as he's not a big fan of making important decisions.
Although it took a lot of work and patience to get there, initially snappy, wary, unable to exit a constant fight or flight mode, and unable to ground himself. With the help of the fireteam he's slowly learned not everything is a fight, that he can afford to relax. !
He can still get quite guarded if he feels someone is a threat, and despite his own intimidating stature and often demeanor, he's easily intimidated by others. Will go to any lengths to ensure his own safety, not terribly concerned with morals, he's willing to fight dirty and fight brutally in order to win.

Stats are related to in-game stats vs his like? in character stats? Just bc he has low intellect doesn't mean he's not smart. These are his most used in-game moves as well! They're pretty cool. Shoulder charge my beloved!!!
Seismic strike After a short sprint, he can use his melee ability to shoulder slam a distance into an enemy, using arc to shock and blind them and nearby enemies.
Fists of Havoc His main super, it allows him to jump and slam his fists on the ground to create a shockwave of arc, great for clearing ads, or a souped up shoulder charge that sends him flying towards enemies.
Storm Grenade ...have you ever wanted to throw a condensed lighting storm, so powerful it can kill a man, at someones face?
Polar knows little of his former life. Although a story can be cobbled together from his former resting place. A junkyard, somewhere on earth. Overgrown and scorched from the battled that raged around and through it. Shattered parts of an exo skeleton trailed around the area- dark oil and blood long dried clinging to them. A weapon clenched in his hand. And a twisted, dirty, metal leg and abdomen on Polar himself- rusty and clunky compared to delicate exo structure. He had a will to live and the knowledge to begin rebuilding himself but... never quite made it.
It can be safely assumed he worked for braytech before his passing, his knowledge of exos and knack for repairing things deeply engrained despite having lost his memories. It was also later discovered his name had been Pact-1 and likely knew high ranking people in the company, despite finding this out, he does not use the name, nor does he look into his past.
With no memory of a name, a terrifying fear of death, and surrounded by reckless guardians with little regard for the titan's apprehension, he grew a quick distaste for the vanguard. Thrown repeatedly into missions he never felt ready for, forced to relive a painful death again and again for goals he did not understand. Desperately looking for guidance, just wanting to follow orders but never feeling those orders were ever in his best interest, yet too cautious and reluctant to make choices on his own. Scared, harsh, and jaded, he almost left The Tower behind until he was approached by an exo warlock named DDoS.
He met him after a particularly unpleasant strike, running into him upon returning to the tower. DDoS inviting him for food and drinks, and despite Polar unable to do either, he gladly if warily accepted, the first time since being rez'd that he was invited to to something that didn't involve some level of stress and lethality. It went well and Polar ended up with an invite to his fireteam. They've been friends ever since.
While initially skeptical, he found himself trusting DDoS' leadership and even getting along with the other members of the fireteam, often being roped into another titan, C's, antics, and towering over the rest of the team with Taurus, repairing the sparrows Jigsaw destroyed on sight. Teaching him to relax just a tiny bit, feeling safe for the first time, trusting that they'd have his back on strikes.
While he valued his newfound friends greatly, the greatest source of comfort for him is that they would protect him. Keep him safe from death that he feared lurked around every corner. While he carried his weight in missions and looked out for them in turn, he saw it as an equal trade that they did the same, rather than some show of friendship. Never putting his own life truly on the line. That was, however, until one of his friends was in danger, a danger that posed a massive threat to Polar was well, and he had to choose weather to fight for his own life or theirs. It terrified Polar, now knowing he'd give his life for those close to him. A looming threat rather than a comfort, but he wouldn't trade the people in his life for anything.
Having finally found a sense of stability and home, Polar is fiercely protective this. Picking up hobbies, eventually buying himself a workshop to repair sparrows and pikes in, enjoying long walks around the Last City, people watching, hiking and camping, getting banned from arcades with DDoS, it's a second chance at life that he cherishes every second of, almost feeling like it was too good to be true. He tries to keep this life as separate from his missions and strikes as he can, the work still bringing him no real joy outside of a chance to spend time with the fireteam. Yet he doesn't seek out anything different, lacking ambition to move up in the ranks and too fearful of change to quit. The idea of his life being in his own hands? No thank you.
At his fireteam leaders prompting, and much to his chagrin, he began running with another fireteam consisting of a gun-slinging awoken warlock named Kite and her brother, a gruff knife enthusiast exo hunter called Manticore-17. Together they were tolerable, Kite balancing out Manticore, but upon being sent on a desert recon mission with Manticore-17 and another young guardian who perished early on in the mission, he began to see Manticore as a threat to his survival, his recklessness intimidating and foolish, with Polar being too wary to directly defy his orders. When given the chance he crushed Manticore's ghost, and assuming him dead, returned to the tower like nothing had happened.
Covering up the incident for a few months, his only regret was his realization that he hadn't finished the job. Manticore still alive and somehow connected with a ghost from DDoS' past as well, and now both of them were out for blood and revenge instead of going to the vanguard. Earning him a burnt down workshop and an ambush leading to his own ghost nearly getting crushed in the process. He, DDoS, and a begrudging Kite, managed to fight them off, but are still wary of the duos next move.
- Doesn't need to sleep! Having only done so like. 3 times. ever.
- Good listener.
- Really good at pinball.
- Super affectionate.
- Pitches the best camping tents.
- Very stubborn. Can not be talked out of something.
- But absolutely can be talking into something.
Chatter lives up to its name, constantly talkative, often getting caught up in gossip and rambling, loving to poke into other people's business, he's often at odds with the little ghost. Not understanding or often appreciating its constant critique and sarcasm. Yet he is incredibly protective of it, not letting anyone else near it, something Chatterbox finds amusing to no end, often using this to annoy others with no fear of repercussion.
The head of the small fireteam, Polar has come to see him as a friend first and leader second, the warlock having shown him much about life as a guardian. Polar offering his own loyalty and support in return. While guarded, Polar loves finding out more about his friend, watching as he's slowly become an integral part of Polar's life. They've had their ups and downs but it has only strengthened their friendship in his eyes.
On thin ice with each other for good reason, Kite, Manticore's sister, has little tolerance for anything Polar does. Only working with him and DDoS to ensure they don't actually kill Manticore and help her bring him back home. Friendly but often condescending, sharp, and ruthless, she's a gun-slinging force to be reckoned with, one Polar wants to avoid when he can.
Reckless, careless, an ego the size of the traveler with little regard for others is how Polar saw Manticore, and his opinion has only worsened over time. Polar tries to afford him as little thought as possible- difficult when Manticore is doing everything in his power to crush his ghost and drag him down with it.
Startlingly deadly and strong for a lightless, Polar fears what he could mean for him and his friend, having been killed by Lone one too many times. What he'd done to DDoS was unforgivable, and yet he still has the nerve to seek vengeance. Polar won't let his guard down until he's dead.
WAAAH I FORGOT HOW BIG THE AWESOME FIRETEAM IS, I'LL ADD EM ONE BY ONE WHEN I CAN!! For now check out his links tab! they are all so cool!!
