I'LL NEVER LET THEM HURT YOU, NOT TONIGHT

It's Jeff the Killer, who is also a proxy of the Slenderman. He's been doing this for five years, although all he can remember of his first year is hazy at best. He follows his own rules and limitations when it comes to the killings--compulsions that he can't control, somehow instigated by the Slenderman--and spends a lot of his time trying to not be bored to death in the middle of the woods. When other proxies show up to his surprise, he decides then that this evil cycle has to stop.

Personality

Jeff is angry. He’s loud, aggressive, cocky, and his prolonged isolation has drained all of his patience with people. Underlying issues about control make him jump at the chance to assert himself as dominator; most first interactions are spent establishing the unwavering fact that he is not to be outsmarted or challenged. He is a killer, and he will brag about it to ensure you know who you’re talking to.

Beneath the need to be scary, he has a mind that races a hundred miles per hour and a self-serving goal. A conspirator and overthinker, Jeff has never stopped wondering why exactly the Slenderman needs him for its ‘dirty work’. He hates it, of course- he hates it for taking away his autonomy and torturing him. Jeff plans to pay it back in kind and break free of his chains.

He just has to do it before he runs out of time.

Jeff is a person true to his word and wants nothing more than the trust of those around him. He does not lie about himself. If he says he's going to protect you, he means it. He's also honest when he says he doesn't feel any remorse about the killings. There's been a mental block placed on him. If you don't like it, you can leave.

Background

Jeff’s mother was a successful woman, but not at all maternal. She left him and his father when he was barely a toddler. His father went on to marry another woman who had her own young son, named Liu.

Jeff and Liu bonded quickly. Rarely seen apart, Jeff grew to be a very doting and protective older brother. During their teen years, Jeff had Liu write songs for his garage band, as Jeff was no good at it himself, and took care of any bullies that bothered his quieter and more sensitive brother.

As Liu aged he became embarrassed by Jeff, beginning to distance himself, and one day breaking Jeff’s heart when he introduces him to his friends as his ‘step brother’ instead of his ‘brother’. Jeff continued to keep a close eye on him, hoping that this baseless lapse in their relationship was down to teenage angst.

After Jeff graduated high school, the family moved to another state, and his parents insisted he take a year off before college to settle some new roots and feel around for what he wanted to do in life. Music was his passion and everyone expected him to pursue it further. Things were going well, all things considered- until the changes.

His parents notice Jeff behaving oddly. He zones out staring at the window; at random times of the day he’s found standing in the center of the backyard, facing the trees. He doesn’t have an explanation. Then the fights start, and a house burns down, and they immediately prepare for a permanent change in their lives as they wait for their son to recover in the hospital.

They do not live to see what he becomes.

Transformed into a proxy under the Slenderman's influence, Jeff lives deep in a sprawling woodland park popular with hikers, scouts, and festivals, as well as featuring a trailer park. His home is a tiny and dilapidated fishing shack perched by the lifeless shore of Hinnom Lake. Unbeknownst to him, this location is concealed by the Slenderman’s space-time bending abilities, disabling anyone from discovering it- unless they are meant to discover it.
