Profile

The best ending to Jeff's story involves Asia sacrificing herself to kill the Slenderman. She uses her space-time bending powers to return Jeff's old body to him, giving him the chance to live a normal life.

He never wanted this. It wasn't in his plan. He was fully prepared to die in that final battle.

Now with his world pulled out from under him, Jeff struggles to keep up the act for a few days. But he's hungry, he's scared, and he's guilty-- he's human. He breaks and pleas with Cat to take him in. He lives with her in her cousin's house, where they both attempt to be regular people.

Jeff is swamped with survivor's guilt. He doesn't know how to reconcile with what he had done for five years, nor how to accept that someone he was trying to save gave up her life for his, a life that had turned so wretched and meaningless it should have ended long ago. He can't return to his family or friends. Some days he can't even recognize the face in the mirror. He is difficult to live with, deeply depressed, and unwilling to divulge much to his therapist. He's full of anger and is quick to assume that he's a burden and that Cat regrets ever letting him move in. Give him time, he'll start trying to heal.

Other notes: back in reality, he finds out asexual and nonbinary is a thing. He is both of those. I also like the idea that a random photographer sees him on the street and gets him into nonbinary modeling.
