Artemis once led a very normal life. He had a wife, two children, and the perfect job. He despised it. A grudge began to fester over the normalcy with which he once felt content. He craved the excitement of a new and fulfilling life, and it didn't take long before he realized that he could achieve that goal within the Order of Xijya. Artemis selfishly threw his old life away and emotionally abandoned his children to join the church. The whereabouts of his wife are unknown.

He quickly charmed his way to the top, marrying into one of the top families in the church and convincing others that he was a prophet. The power clouded his judgment as he began manipulating and abusing those who admired him. The lack of backlash and ceaseless praise quickly assisted him into believing that he was the "God" whom everyone worshipped.
