BIO

Rakna is one of the stranger members of the Metamo Ark crew, a spiderlike Gigagusher recruited from the "planet" Gigagush. Calling Gigagush a planet isn't entirely accurate; it's more of an anomalous gravitational vortex- and the swirling rocks and bits of space junk orbiting its magenta-glowing core in an eternal death spiral are what Rakna and their kind call home. Apex predators of their environment, Gigagushers are well adapted to navigating the perpetually-changing space and catching the various other, smaller creatures caught in the vortex- Rakna included, as they possess multiple unique adaptations for hunting in such an odd locale.

They are highly agile on their long, pointed spider-legs, and their sharp fangs inject a paralytic venom, but their most interesting adaptation is one just as inexplicable and anomalous as their home itself- at the tip of each of their spider-legs, they can produce a small but powerful force vortex to pull nearby objects toward them. Rakna can use multiple of these vortices at once if they choose, and if produced in the same space (ie if Rakna touches multiple leg-tips together before producing them), their power increases exponentially. A single force vortex is generally sufficient to nab prey from Gigagush's orbit or bring over a nearby rock for leverage, but just two could pull another Metamo crewmember off their feet- and if they were to use all four, the results could be devastating.

Personality and sociability-wise, Rakna is...odd, to say the least. Given that they're adapted for a solitary hunting life in one of the least hospitable environments in the galaxy, they obviously never needed to develop any social skills, and that definitely shows when interacting with other crewmembers. They're not intentionally hostile or abrasive, they just don't exactly know what they're doing; as a result, they generally tend to keep to themselves on the Ark. That said, their poor social skills are likely their only weakness when it comes to being an Ark crewmember, and they're a surprisingly intelligent and careful pilot who uses both their keen senses and their numerous extra limbs to every advantage they can get.
