Shadri

Shadri is a grey furred familiar with black manes on top of her head and around the base of the neck. She has a weight of about 10kg or 22lbs and has a height of 32cm or a foot measured by the top of the head. So far she has no markings yet. Her body is shaped like a cat's, except it's much skinnier and more flexible. She has gray bat-like wings and long ears with black fuzz. She has white round eyes and black hair hanging over her left eye. Her head is a simple sphere with some features added for good measure. Her tail is of medium length and very fluffy.

Colour palette

Shadri is a curious but timid familiar. She has a high intelligence for a familiar and as a result is more serious than the others of her species. She is rather obedient to her master and cares about protecting and assisting him. Thanks to her master's blindness and her function as his eyes, she is drawn towards blind people and creatures and feels inclined to help or comfort them.

❖ Although she can't speak or understand people, she can make loud purring noises and noises that sound more like 'maa' than anything else. These sounds have a very high tone.

❖ As any familiar, she shares a bond with her master. This means that they can communicate with each other. Epheil is also the only person Shadri can properly understand without having to put a lot of effort in it. Another effect is that the two can share vision, allowing Epheil to see.

❖ Familiars don't require food, but they often imitate their masters. Shadri grooms her mane because Epheil is a neat man and she mimics him in this trait.

Shadri is a very young recent familiar who was born as a fire familiar. She was naturally curious towards her magic and in the wild practiced it on her own pretty often. When she caused a forest fire and panicked, another much stronger familiar, this one a light familiar, was attracted by the flames and went ahead and put out all the fires. Shadri befriended her and the two became companions, travelling the country together for a couple of years.

When chasing a couple of deer, Shadri found herself stopped by one of the local demons. So far she had never approached any of them when she saw them, but this man approaching her made her curious. She was even more intrigued when the man displayed some exceptional skills in fire magic. The wingless light familiar caught up with her and was curious too, but the man seemed less interested in her once Shadri tried to mimic his movements and showed the man her own fire skills.

The two quickly bonded over the next hour until a real bond was formed between the two, one where their spirits became connected. Shadri learned that this man's name was Epheil and that he was eager to find a companion to train with. When the two departed that evening, the light familiar followed them home, where she roamed around for a while until she found a light mage who was willing to form the bond with her.

Shadri lost contact with the light familiar and stayed with Epheil, who trained her. She quickly learned that her master had been blind for a while now, making her role as his eyes essential to him on a daily basis. She could always be found on the mage's shoulder functioning as his eyes.

One day the two ran into a frost familiar, Zeanu. Shadri immediately liked him but it turned out that he belonged to a person Epheil hated, so she couldn't befriend him. While the two had been forced to fight before, she still would like to befriend this familiar and just let go of the feud between their masters.
