Born in a small village she was raised well by her mother and father, at least until her mother died from The Plague. Thankfully her father and siblings survived, but The plague decimated her village to the point they couldn't generate enough income for bribes or defend themselves. So when a Pirate ship came they couldn't do much against them. So in payment the Pirates took Alderich, while she would have fought she knew there was no way the village would win and if she did the whole village would be destroyed, including her siblings. So she left with the pirates and became a servant on The Disgraced Princess. But she wasn't just any servant, the captain took a liking to her and made her his servant.

While she was raised to be straightforward and truthful, Alder has gained an aspect of slyness after being taken aboard The Disgraced Princes. She is fiercely independent and prefers to be by herself or with a small group of people she trusts. She enjoys doing things alone which gets her in trouble at times. She is a very bright girl for her lack of education, but she now uses her brains to try and find a way to either kill the Captain, start a mutiny, or in other ways thwart her "master". Alder is fiercely loyal to herself and her family, though the loyalty for her father wanes every day. If you have gained her trust then you have gained her loyalty. She can be very rebellious especially when it comes to the Pirate Lord that holds her captive. She does her best to try to ruin his plans and win her freedom. She is a very affectionate person when it comes to those she cares for. She will hug, kiss, touch, anyone she cares for.
